Can i fit 235/45/17 tires on my 17x7 wheels? I had them on my last car but i dont remember what size the rims were. Or should i just do 225's? They cost almost the exact same i think the 235s might be a few dollars cheaper.

im running 235 and i would be pretty close to rubbing if not for the camber and the stiff suspension

yea i thought u had the 235 milo.....so 225 would prolly be a better idea? I have 225 now that came on the wheels but i dont wanna scrub when i get a drop.

225 is not a problem at all, unless you really slam the car...

225/45 should be good for 17x7 wheel.... I have the same size tire on 17x7.5 Rotas and they fit perfectly on my wagon with Prodrive springs. My previous whiteline springs were waaay too low for the Pirellis I have now(225/45). Tein S tech? ...perhaps you'll clear barely if you have a sedan......

i'd stay away from them. i know the price is tempting, but my buddy has told me some horror stories about them. he worked at goodyear tire co and saw a bunch of tire seperation in them, mainly performance type

Just my opinion, but I think 235 is to wide for a 7" rim. I have 225's on a 7" an there's a little bulge in the sidewall, so I'd imagine 235 would be worse, causing uneven wear, scrubing...etc... I'd stick with 225's....

totally agree, i think they are kumho's "off" brand... i've heard nothing but crap about them.

kumho's are the "cheapest" performance tire i would go with, and make sure you get the 712 sidewalls if you get them.

yea i htink 225 sounds like a good idea. Anyone know a good place to get a good deal on tires? I am trying to spend under 400 installed if possible.

I think your looking at closer to $500. Most tires in that size are around $100-$125 each, then install/balance. I recommend discount tire. I have Kuhmo 711's and there pretty decent.

the 712s and ASXs offer much more grip than the 711s... dont remember how much more expensive they are though

Just a word to the wise, if you're going to get 235s, make sure that you get 235/40 17s. I bought a set of wheels and tires off of a guy and they have 235/45 17s on them and was getting some rub until I got the inside lip of my rear fender shaved down. The 235/45 is almost a half inch taller in overall height than the stock wheel/tire combo. The 235/40 is about a half inch shorter than stock. The 235 tires will fit fine on a sedan, just make sure that you get the 235/40s.
