Next Siegel Racing Open Track Day is ON for Tuesday October 21st This will be the debut of "Lucy 2" a customer's car that nearly replicates our Lucy but a bit more streetable with full interior and A/C. Normal deal - $200 per driver. 10 drivers. Some instruction, but not as much as an SRDEC. 50% deposit required to hold a spot, refundable until 5 business days before event. It's on, send money We will be having Traqmate there and they will be bringing a few Traqmate setups to demo, so basically, attendees of this event get free data acq and evaluations. Let me know if you're interested, Siegel
Damn, I can't committ to the 21st as I'm headed out of the country for a few days. I haven't been on the track since WGI last Oct. and this 1 day format is perfect if I'm here.
TGP is about an 1 hour and 20 minutes from Atlanta. We only take 10 people total and there are no more than 3 cars on track at a time. There is WAY more track time available than anybody will actually want to run. I'll be riding along with people and giving some advice. Siegel
Sounds good to me. I pulled the track info looks pretty cool. I am game just let me know when we need to send payment. Alain
First sent, first reserved You can bring cash, send a check, or paypal (plus 3% please) at: siegelracing@hotmail.com Thanks, Siegel
Shoot me a email if you need an instructor Siegel, the only thing I have to drive is the S2000 but I wouldn't mind instructing.
I will certainly be more than happy to use you at an SRDEC, but this is just an open track day with no instructor spots. I'll let you know when we schedule the next SRDEC. Siegel
Yea, I'll be there that Friday. New pads and fluid going in soon. Going to ghetto mount my camera too.
Correct. I always have at least one or two people that end up not making it, and I have to cover my expenses for the track. I run a pretty good day, and I think it's well worth the $200. Everybody that has been to one of my Siegel Racing Open Track Days has liked it and thought it was well worth the money. If I could run them cheaper, I would, but for it to be worth it to me, they need to be 8-10 people at $200. Siegel
Hey scotty, I think that is the last day of my vacation and I come back from austin the night before. There are only two prblems for me. I will drive the subbie to austin so it will need an oil change before tracking and I have HPS pads, and I will definitely want to use HP+ or similar. What are my options? Can I get a hand with oil and brake pad change before we hit the track? If so, I'm down for this. Thanks, pm me with your thoughts.
well if you do 12 people instead of 10 you can do $120. but still $200 is a good price. good luck wit the trackday. if i have some extra cash left for gas after our trackday i'll shoot you a pm for this.
Yep, not a track junkie by any means, but this was about as good of an experience as I could have wanted for $200. I even got some nice instruction at the track day, though it wasn't "official".
Not really. I broke my car in on the way to little Tally and my engine has been doing great. (40k + miles now and good compression on recent test))
So who is all going to this? Anyone else from the site? Are we allowed to take passenger around the track if they have helmet etc? Alain
Yes you take a passenger around if they have a helmet. I'll have a few spare helmets too. One of the participants brother's just crashed his car so there are 2 spots that just opened. Siegel
