HELP! blew seal on turbo?

    A friend of mine has a 05 STi that he think he blew a seal on his stock - can anyone take a look at it before he buys a new turbo? (looking at 20g!) but yea.. cars located in stn mountain - any takers? also if you know anyone trying to sale used turbo? or if anyone can help install

    Im the owner of the 05 STi that has a blown seal...i need someone to take a look at the car and make sure that the turbo is the problem before I buy a new one. I will pay you for your help...In addition, is there anyone out there who can install a turbo for me if I do end up buying a new turbo...please pm me or call me at 770)856-2118. (ask for Jay)

    Also if you know someone who could help me please let me know...I gotta get the car back on the road asap

    What makes you think you blew a seal on the turbo? You can have it towed to TopSpeed and we can look at it.

    The car is smoking like crazy (white smoke). The car only smokes bad in stop and go traffic...If im on the highway it doesn't smoke...Im not sure what the problem is but I need it to be fixed fast...

    I would do a compression check before anything else. Easy to do (couple hours) and will tell you a little about the condition of the engine regardless.
