My wife scheduled a 60,000 mile checkup on her '06 Forester at SOK. $700 was the quote, is that reasonable? I havn't looked at the list, but what do they do that could possible cost $700? King or WJM weigh in? Is it stuff that we can do at home? Oil change, rotate tires, etc.

I do not know what it entails but for the $ I would hope it is for a complete everything svc.i.e. coolant, diff, trans?,oil, rotate and balance, air filter, cabin air filter, etc etc.

Give us a shout too. We do standard maintenance cheaper than the dealerships.

    Good to know!

She needs to get it done tomorrow and she'd need a rental for the day, so we figured a dealership would be best. She's going to call Classic too.

My 30k was $600....included all fluids along with little things, like wipers and filters. Also got the rental car for a day from sog.

buy a jack and get some stands. it's mostly fluid changes and "inspections"

hardest part would be spark plugs. hell with a forester you may not even need a jack, pull that bitch up onto a curb. I would recommend changing the accessory belts also, and changing the rear diff fluid as well.
