Reply here if you wanna be a part of a subie photo session this coming sunday Jan 11th. Everyone who wants to bring your cameras, and lets try to get as many of us together as we can. Oh and you don't have to drive a subaru to come to this. I think what we should do is meet at Lenox near the food court entrance around 2pm and go from there. The light will be best for this kind of thing during that part of the day. We can grab something quick to eat in the food court and then be on our way. There's lots of places within walking distance of the mall that would be great spots. I can think of one or two in the mall parking lot alone that would be good. Shouldn't take us too long to find a spot at all. I think it would be difficult to pick a spot without seeing it in person, so some brief group scouting is probably the best bet. The list so far: Definite: Letum001 07Ltd#767 Breel Josh booth Scoobaru undrgrndrdr15 Sparta XanRules WRXBryanATL Dontcallitarex Wagunz_pwn 420 FACE S2000 Guy Pending based on location/washing the heap/getting off of work: Redgts FkUiHdCncr nsvwrx Deke BC2300UGA AirMax95 I'll be taking a lot of pictures for sure but BRING YOUR CAMERAS if you've got them. I'll be posting the pictures on flickr, since thats the highest quality internet album I have. I'll link the album when I get them all processed and up. This is gonna be a blast, guys. It'll be a great chance for us all to hang out. C/N For those of us who have spent too much time on Nabisco: LENOX FOOD COURT ENTRANCE, 2:00 Be there or have a car that has no ballin shots of it on the interwebs.
crap...i've got brake dust caked on from 6 months ago, but I'd still like to come out (assuming nothing going on) and have some pictures taken. Oh, I know, I can come and you can take pictures of how not to take care of your tires...oh the joys of driving your car for your job, gotta love the excess mileage...
im down... as for location i think we shoudl see where everyone is coming from and try and find a central spot
Don't care about location, just an excuse to get out of the shop is the way I see it. May have to drive the Justy for this, has better paint and rollin' on 13's
No offense but, this will end up a big FAIL. You did not leave enough time to really plan a "big assed" subie photo session. You may be able to pull off a mini Subie Photo session though. Good luck.
pft, yee have little faith :hsnono: if nothing else it'll be a good opportunity to get together and meet a few other people on the boards. If there's a small group who wish to be a little more formal they can just move off to the side and do their thing. I, for one, am looking forward to it :wiggle:
Jake (BC2300UGA) was saying that the best central location for everyone would probably be somewhere off of 400. There's lots of parking garages in case the weather sucks. However if it doesn't suck I'd really like to do this outside in the sun. I didn't think we'd get the whole freaking board out to one place on sunday. Honestly I'll be ecstatic if we can get like 10 cars. As far as time I'm guessing around 2 or 3 would be best. The light will be good and we can get some early sunset shots if we're lucky since it starts dipping around 430-5. Maybe we could meet at Lenox or something, eat some lunch and figure out a location we're all happy with? And bring a camera if you own one! This shouldn't be just me getting all the fyoto action!
Same here. I am not trying to hate on anyone in this thread. I just know from personal experience with this site that if you want to plan something big, as dontcallitarex mentioned in the OP, you need to give much advanced notice. Even a month in advance is sometimes not enough. Our big photoshoot at RA several years ago was planned probably a good 3 months in advance, and then when we were within maybe a month or month in a half, we narrowed down the specifics.
if i'm off at a decent time (doubt it, unless we're dead) then i will head over if it is off 400. i say look into the parking garages, big parking lots around the perimeter mall area. lots of cool buildings around there, and pretty decent central location
Well, I'm new to the boards and also to subarus but I have sunday off and would love to join and meet some of you guys. I'm in.
i like the idea of meeting up eating and figuring out a location that way most everyone is together..
thought i might clarify that.... also anyone from the canton marietta area want to meet up and roll over together
I'm not going to be able to spend the entire afternoon, but I will be available for an hour or so. I think it would probably be best if someone did some prescouting and we already have the final destination and arrival time secured. Everyone is still welcome to meet early and eat and the people who are limited on time can just meet up at the final location at a certain time.
I know of a kick ass spot...but nobody will drive up to Windward. Place is empty on the weekends; even has a field. CLICK HERE FOR A BIRD'S EYE VIEW
Thats 25 miles from my apartment....for what thats worth. I live at the intersection of buford highway and clairmont. I vote lenox, still.
I know a huge EMPTY parking deck near perimeter mall. If I recall correctly it has a decent view of the king and queen building from the top.
put me on that list too Will one of you call me and make sure I go to the right place... Matt...Sparta...Jason
no nothing was decided, just suggestions. I still think you will get more people at a perimeter location. You should probably do the one Sparta suggested.
ok got it a re read the original and missed the think..... im coming from canton but im not worried about the drive cause its a little bit of a haul anyways... i do agree that where the most people will attend is where it should be....
