needless to say i am still awake :naughty: so when yo upgrading the turbos on this thing? Or run Gtscoob so we can see who has the bes JDMness
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2716502 There you go xan And to nicad and youngDZ it is already on the road.I was up at Import specialist in winder and NITRO decided to stop in and take a look, and every one who went to the TacoMac meet on the 8th saw it. So I am driving it, will be converting the clutch system to hydraulic as soon as the rest of the parts come in. Meaning "master cylinder","slave cylinder", and"hose" oh and the new water temp sensor.
I know its running, I talked to you at formula d. I was insisting you run GTscoob cause he's got a JDM motor too and blew my doors off, lol. I recommend getting Xan's front end, that thing looked hella sexy when I saw him on Roswell rd the other day.
Yeah I am lookin for a RS 2.5 front bumper fogs and bumpercover but they are hard to find. and the ones that are after market just dont look the same.
I got my bumper beam and grille shipped for $100. It's out there pretty regularly. You can also get them from subarugenuineparts.com or sweet-talk Lisa at SoG parts. It's a pretty cheap conversion and it all bolts right on.
So I replaced the water temp sensor and throttle position sensor and reset the ECU but the codes 21, and 31 just wont go away. Im starting to lean back toward a bad ECU. but I trying to get some input from a UK forum site to see if the can help with the problem and I still have an intermittent hesatation on 1/3 throttle. Oh and pictures are on the 2nd or 3rd page of the thread. But for those who want more pictures Picture of the car at Drift Atlanta 2008 here is a picture of my radio setup of corse I don't smoke so I dond need the ash tray or the cigarett lighter and I do have new videos on youtube under ttimpreza.
There is unfortunatly no way to tune the pre 98 twin turbo motors except to add a piggyback ecu to the system but I like the performance the way it is so I wont be tuneing it any mor than the factory has there is however a mod you can do on the primary turbo boost controler that will give an instant 16PSI.:naughty:
I really wouldnt run that much boost without at least an SAFC to tune the damn thing. But as said before, less talk more numbers. You bringing it out to the dyno day Upsidedowndesi is planning? Then again if you blow it up you only have to pay JHOT another $800 for another motorset.
I'm fairly confident also that there IS a way to tune them. Apexi made a lot of stuff for the older EJs, like the EJ20k and the EJ20g as well as the EJ22tt.
Also look at this thread, maybe ask this guy what he knows about the ECU he was thinking he could get working: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1388744 If you're going to run more boost, or do much of anything, try to figure out how to tune it, at least a little.
I got the spudder completely out!!! wire under the manifold grounding out" soldered it then shrink wraped it" I still need to figure out the water temp sensor and throtle pos sensor so the check engine light will go off put the 18's on it lost a wheel cap:wtc: but it runs awsome!! haven't bent anymore shims and I got my internet back up. And I drive the TTimpreza everyday.
Install is completely finished, now for cosmetics "bodywork and paint." It runs like a dream!! It has power to 8 grand in 1st through 4th and 5th is a dream on the interstate. When both turbos spool up on the interstate it sounds like a Freightliner spooling up and 60mph to 110mph is about 7 seconds. Its a great feeling! Found The Factory pnumatic suspension system if the guy will let it go!!!!!
So have you replied to my offer on IA? My computer has been dead for a few days so I'll try to reply whenever. I want to see this thing in action.
I am no longer a member of IA nor do I affiliate with them they really P'ed me off but what was your offer GTScoob? The IA thing Is a long story.
its cool, i got banned from there too. just a bunch of juveniles. im excited to see this thing in action.
Ok I deffinetly will, I have a Huge dent on my pass side under the front and rear door that I don't know how to get out, it is on the rocker panel.
Still running strong, got a turbo timer from Kyle/Scobiac and I am going to get it all hooked up just so when people ask if I have one I can now say yes.
Hear you there xan. oh Scobiac gave me his old turbo timer cause he got a new one from one of his friends. so it cost me nothing, heck free sounds pretty good to me. Besides it looks pretty cool to just walk away from your car with it still running and have it turn off about 30 seconds later.
Lemme know if you want any of the other shit in my FS thread, but that SAFC is yours for $30. Got it for $50. It's oldddd.
Got A Freebie hope it will look pretty good on my wagon its a new muffler that is estimated to be around $2000 new but of course the one I have is used so I know its not worth that but hopefully it will look nice. Oh it came off of a 2001 Lotus Esprit V8. See Picture
be interested to see how in the hell you make that fit with the spare tire well/gas tank shaped the way it is on your car! plus that has to be MORE restrictive than a factory exhaust, cuz you'd have to Y the exhaust into that creating MORE piping....
In my opinion this is a total waste and I don't see how you gonna get it on right. The spare tire area is gonna be in the way.
I was encountering a Loss of boost, after about 6 seconds of boost, listened for vacuum leak heard a vacuum leak around vacuum solenoid box, and found a ripped line in the vacuum line that goes from the vacuum tank to the solenoid box, so I replaced the line and got full constant boost back. and still runnin!
I stumbled on this thread through a google search for EJ20R lol. My EJ20R swapped Legacy popped up as well as this. Nice work. How did you make everything fit? How is the low end power with the twin turbo setup? I have mine converted to single turbo
The EJ20R is a JDM Legacy engine. It was available in 96 - 98 Legacys. The filament issues come into play with our left hand drive steering / brake stuff....or so I've been told
Ok, sorry for bumping this, but I am curious about something. Did any of you ever actually see this car in person? How did he get around the drivers side downpipe being in the way of the steering?
Lol, did you see this on rs25? I just linked this thread over there yesterday in a twin turbo thread.
