Well, it's riding season again and I want to plan something. Who's in?! I know there are a lot of 2-wheel junkies around here and I think we should all get together and plan something. It's not a race... Just a ride. Just throwing this out there... A few weeks ago I rented a cabin on Blood Mountain between the top two U-Turns on 129. It slept 10 people very easily... So that's an option. So if you own, or have access to, a street legal bike speak-up! In the mean while, everyone post pictures of your bike (or scooter...)!!! What'cha got?! It's sexy bike porn time! SUPERMOTO!!!!
I couldnt be more jealous Mr. MMtasty, that bike if fuckin sick. Now you got me thinking about a new hobby!
Woo Hoo! This is the type of response I was hoping for! I'm getting psyched up about riding... Nice! There's a CBR600 FS somewhere around here IIRC... :naughty: muhahahaha... Yes it does; however, it is not. I promise. That's a cool bike! I've always wanted a old CB750 to turn into a cafe racer, but that looks closer to what I want so maybe I'll look into one of these... What's the year and model of that?
im down! i have a Z1000 and i live at the base of blood mountain. just post when yall are comen and ill meet yall up there.
Thanks! It is a 1979 XS750 Triple. It is about 95% all orignal. They are not easy to come by, and I had no idea how rare they are (in good condition) until after I bought it. Almot an entire bike worth of spare parts came with it...engine, drivetrain, controls, brakes, etc. The only thing I am missing is a rolling chassis. I am planning on building something like this with the spare parts I have. Based on how hard it has been for me to find parts for this thing, I would advise a bike that is a little more plentiful. The XS650s are a pretty decent bike to cafe out. However, there frames are a bit on the flimsy side. To do it properly, there is a good bit of frame reinforcement that is required. I am learning as I go.
I didn't know there were this many riders on here... Anybody want to ride down to the Vortex this Thursday (5/14)? I haven't been yet this year so I don't know how big it is/isn't. Blood Mtn. Cabins are ~$100/night. If we get 10 people up there it'll be a fantastic time. I've never stayed at T.W.O., but that's also an option. Who has a problem with 6/5-6/7? Ride day would be 6/6.
So who's going rolling down to the Vortex Thursday? We can meet at my house, but somewhere closer to the highway may be a better. Maybe in front of Dick's or Costco...?
I'm going to trivia tonight instead of bike night... but we really need to get everyone together next week and hit the Vortex! If you've never gone you're really missing out! And who would be up for a mountain ride this weekend? Maybe just to Amicola Falls and back or something like that. As far as I can tell I don't have anything to do this weekend... PM me NOW! The friend I usually ride with separated his shoulder so he's off his bike for 2-3 weeks.
I am going out for a ride, not sure where tonight. I'm free Saturday is someone wants to hit the hills
I would be up for a ride sometime... I have some work to do on my SV before its ready but I hope to get that out of the way this weekend.
what ya working on? need any help? I ride a lot, Yesterday I got a little wet :eek3: but the good news is I don't melt
:wtc: <---- you crying because of a little rain. ooooh... haha... When are we going back out? I've checked both of my hands and I'm officially still not holding a monster in either of them.
hrm I only see 3..help? anyway, I've been looking at taking the MSF class here pretty soon (mostly so I can avoid the state patrol motorcycle tests - they are cunts)
Since I bought it the front brakes have developed a not so nice notchiness, which makes things interesting to say the least. I should be able to handle it once I find the motivation, but thanks for the offer.
