    It's an LS6.

Don't know yet. ECM comes in today.
It should be finished this week.

haha will do. I like the stealthy stock-ness for now. the roll bar and dual exhaust will kind of give it away but still it's gonna surprise some people on the street.

If you don't mind sharing, what was the approximate build cost? That thing looks nasty - nice to see people doing swaps the right way (bbk, coilovers, fuel, etc.)

    Nathan Sumner is...

I'd say in just the motor swap stuff probably around 7-8K!

True. However, you're not depending on the low hp to keep traction.
Time to grow a pair of throttle feathering skilz.
You don't want to know. The numbers make me grimace. The idea is to use it as a show car for the swap business. Then it can be a write-off.
It's up forsale, as is anything if the price is right :)

Anyone interested buyers can join us at the track for it's debut

I'll even credit you for the trackday cost if you buy this blue beast!

What is absolutely insane is exactly 1 month ago, the car was completely stock!

the motor was 6k from cleveland pick a part. 05 cts-v rear-ended at 18k miles.

That's a pretty cool build. My dad built a Monster Miata for a customer about 10 years ago with a supercharged Ford 302 in it. What a handful that car was. Good luck in the traction department!!

The different between the fords and the gm small blocks is dramatic. Those ford drop-ins tend to make the car very front heavy.

The GM LS's are so light because of the aluminum block. In fact it only adds 100 pounds compared to the stock miata iron block. This swap will pretty much maintain it's 50/50 distribution, perhaps off about 1%.

I opted to use the ford 8.8 and the boss frog setup, both of which add weigh to the rear as well as strength and rigidity.
