My mother in law is the manager at the Big Lots in Lawrenceville. Her district manager told her she had to do set up some sort of charity function for the 4th so she asked if I would like to organize a carshow. It benefits the American Cancer society. my wife and her family do the Breast Cancer walk and a lot of other cancer charity work. We are calling it "The Race for a Cure". The address is 250 Grayson Hwy SW Suite 1 Lawrenceville, GA 30045. Will be from 10am -4pm but everyone is welcome to stay to see the fireworks. There will be judging awards from auto zone and advance. Some trophies, hamburgers, hot dogs, cotton candy, snow cones, blow up bouncey's for the kids, and also trying to set up a swap meet too. To be in the carshow is $10 a swap meet spot is $5 and they we will be selling food and drinks. If you have anymore questions please pm me or call me at 678-755-2272 my name is Steve. We welcome imports and domestics. We will have a majority of the parking lot blocked of for this event. Thanks and have a great day.
I don't do the car show thing, but I live down the street so will try to stop by and support the cause that day...
thanks it will be appreciated. my wife did cotton candy, popcorn, and snow cones on memorial day weekend and raised like $1500
I dont have a show car but will be in the area and will try and make it out! I am a huge supporter of the Cancer Society!
my wife has done alot for the cancer society since her sister and aunt got told they had some form or another
lets have a strong wrx showing people. you dont have to be a full show car this is for showing what you have and being pround of it. my car is no where near show but it will be parked with the rest of the show(not being judged though) so lets show people what wrxatl.com is about.
Ill try and get a few friends of mine to come up there i live in the area. my mom also works for the american cancer society so that helps her work lol
I would suggest you get liability insurance for the event then.... not to be a party poopy but anytime you have any sort of "exhibition" in a parking lot with a crowd it might be a good idea. Good luck with the event.
I was just thinking about this.... re-thinking that is. I can control my car, but I can't control the crowds or will charge the car while burning out. Will there be kids around? I'm liking the idea less and less.
ill be there at 2pm. ive got my old wheels/tires on. practiced a little last night - ive got the burnout routine down
Just went up there was there for about 5 minutes then left. There was only one car there and the guy was being a deusch to my brother. I've had better car shows in my driveway. I don't mind supporting a good cause, but that was just lame.
