I am experiencing boost creeps and I think I have narrowed it down to the wastegate. Scott @ topspeed did a pressure test on the wastegate and it is leaking. Does any know how and where I can get it checked out and fixed?

what psi are you running ? what turbo what tune ??????? too many unknowns

are you sure its boost creep ?
just get a pump and feed the hose to the pump and pump the wg and see if it moves and stay at that pressure than its not leaking

did you mess with the arm adjustment (if its adjustable)

I am running 20psi of boost. Scott tuned my car and when road tuning, I am overboosting. Scott pressure test the wastegate and it's not holding pressure, so we assume it is leaking. :(

Can't you just buy an upgraded wastegate actuator? I am assuming that is what is leaking?

Yeah, well then he eneeds to add more info....If it has an internal wastegate, get a new actuator from the company that sold you the turbo. If it is an external wastegate, well, that is pretty self explanatory....if not, give me $1000 and I will fix it for you:)

I have the Perrin gt3076r turbo kit running 44mm wastegate. I found a new wastegate locally, I might pick that up lol.

Wow, was it a Tial wastegate? Are you sure the vacuum fittings were put on with two washers on each fitting? I don't think I have ever heard of a failed Tial Wastegate.

It was on the car when I got it. I am going to take it apart and look at it tonight. I might just replace it with a new wastegate and see if that works.

I would inspect it and check the diaphragm.

It's leaking from the bottom/side port past the shaft into the exhaust. They all leak a little there (all metal "seals") but this one is BAD. It's overshooting big time, then settling and I believe that all the air that should be opening the wastegate is initially leaking past the seals...
