I have Cobb stage 2 re-map, K&N intake, Helix dp, & SPT full exhaust. Its not tuned yet. I plan on getting it tuned at Top Speed. Does anyone know the optimum gas mileage I can achieve after a tune???
Wirelessly posted Well let's see, I have catless godspeed dp paired with cobb catback. Stock fuel pump, stock injectors. Upgraded tmic, with drop in filter and a ported wg on the stock vf39. Tuned by SS (the man) at sogpd (good ol days). On any given day I will experience between 4 and 27 mpg
i don't know how you guys can get above 20. I have stg 1 set up (tuned by SS), but I barely achieve 17-18 mpg. that's with about 75% highway driving tho
AVCS in an STi SHOULD theoretically net better gas mileage in a stage 2 tune vs. a non-AVCS 2.0l wrx. i know in my 02 i was getting btwn 16-18 in the city and 22-24 on the hwy. once got 28 following a big truck back from florida, i was sooo excited!
On stage 1 cobb map with cobb catback I got around 24.5 mpg with my cruise set on 80 on the highway. I will know after this weekend what the stage 2 map gets me.
75% highway, and most the time I drink like a granny. 22-23, Stage 2 Protune by SS. Just a catted downpipe + the tune...
Just confirmed my mileage with stage 2 (cobb ots map). 25.8 mpg over 342 miles going home (to VA) 26.4 mpg over 357 miles coming home This is with an average speed of around 70 mph with the cruise set at 80 as much as possible. I always read that you should pick up mileage with stage 2 but I never expected it.
Wirelessly posted ^ that's great! My car runs pig rich to acheive something like that consistently haha.
I'll keep an eye on it and see if it is consistent. I should also add that I kept my foot out of it and I never saw over 3500 rpm for the whole trip. No embarrassing the Cavalier trying to race me, no fun on the ramps :unamused:I am not sure if the extra mileage is worth it.
