Invitation: Track Day - Roebling Road - Nov 20, 2009 Hey folks, it's that time again. This year, just as last, S2000 Atlanta will be coordinating our Roebling Road track day with Seat Time for Friday November 20th. Seat Time does numerous track days a year and has a very wide ranging variety of participating cars. They are very efficient and organized, much so that you fail to realize that there are 45 cars at the track. You can expect a minimum of 1.5 to 2 hours of track time. We're inviting wrxatlanta to join us for the fun both on and off the track. We usually incorporate a weekend in Savannah along with the track day, so you'll want to plan to check in on Friday and check out on Sunday. Tech inspections will be conducted by Seat-Time, however, you may want to conduct your own to cover items specific to Subaru, just as we do for the S2000s. Roebling Road has become one of the premier amateur road courses of the southeast. Motor Week and various other automotive publications use this facility to test the trackability of cars. The track and facility are in very good condition. The surface was repaved a little over a year ago, so the pavement is very smooth. Roebling is fast course; you can expect to see close to 130mph on the front straight. It isn't as technically as challenging as LTGP, but very fun nonetheless. There is plenty of run off room; the track design is very safe. We need at least 15 people committed to this in order to keep the rate down at $140. This event is capped by Seat-Time at 20 participants. If fewer than 15 sign up, we will run with another group. This is very large discount over the cost in previous years. If you would like to have an instructor in the car with you, they are an additional $50. You can send in a deposit now of $100 to reserve your spot. Full balance is due Sunday, November 1, 2009. Payments should be made to events@s2katlanta.com; please make sure in the subject line you enter "Roebling Road Track Day". There are no refunds, you are responsible for selling your spot if something comes up and you need to back out. Please post up your questions. I encourage you to make your reservations as soon as possible. The rate must be confirmed with a credit card (they will not charge until you arrive) by November 1 in order to get this rate and not the normal $120 charge. The group is named "Honda S2000 Club". This a relatively new hotel and is approximately 10 miles from Roebling Road. Parking is free and there is room to change your pads the night before the event. I've heard good things about the Seat Time events (and Roebling) as well...wish Jon would come up to Road Atlanta though!

I'm thinking about it but I've got a road atlanta event on the 21st. it's what a 4 hour drive back to atlanta? who all is definitely going?
