    hey hey,

I am going to be order my Helix Catted DP here shortly and was doing some reading on a few sites about boost creep. From the sounds of things it looks like it occurs more frequently in the colder weather.

My TBE will be helix catted DP => Perrin Catback

Just curious if who all has had issues with boost creep and what you were running in regards to Mods. Looks like a Port and Polish may be a band aid to work around this.
Just tryin to do my research before I make the purchase. Hopefully the Catted DP will be enough to prevent this.

Any other feedback etc on this would be appreciated... I have been googling around for a while now.

I didnt have any problems with creep on my catted random tech pipe. I have heard of creep occuring so its not out of the question but normally on non-catted cooler climate cars.

The only problems ive heard involving boost creep has been caused by downpipes with the factory style flange w/no provision for flowing wastegate gasses smoothly. As long as it has a bellmouth (which the Helix pipe does) or similar style piping at the turbine outlet you should be good to go.

if u get boost creep just get ecutek and upgrade to a superzilla and u should be fine ;)

jokes aside, in most case ecutek alone can fix it

well then, u need to keep watchin the boost gauge when u install the DP... that will keep ur eyes off the road and increases the chances of an accident... if u get ecutek'd, then u can keep watchin the road... she'll understand ur doing it for ur own safety :D

I thought that most boost creep occured on cars with a hi-flow exhaust and no cats?
I don't know that I've ever read about it happening on car's with a hi-flow cat.
Otherwise, I agree, Ecutek that thing and worry no more.

Acutally, I don't think I've run into any yet. Now, I've not been catless during the winter months. So I'll be watching it (as best I can while driving anyway) to see. I hope to get Ecutek'd myself sometime real soon though. I also seem to remember reading that the exhaust side of the turbo had something to do with it. I believe that Subaru changed it mid-year of the '04's.
