i get this pop up all the time and im soo tempted. my insurance didnt drop when i turned 25. it actually went up. :wtc: if this really works it would save me some serious cash. radar &laser jammer
legal and radar jammer are not possible, jamming the signal would be obstruction of justice etc. your best bet is to go with a valentine 1 radar detector(the best from what i understand.
i didnt ask if it was legal. and never mind i found all the info i needed. heres 2 links with movies that answered all my questions. movie is very informitive. i now have a good understanding how a lazer gun works also. http://www.clubwrx.net/forums/showthread.php?t=102861&highlight=radar+jammer http://www.clubwrx.net/forums/showthread.php?t=104486
i have a good detector but let me just say that a radar detector can't give you a heads up on a cop with a laser, it just goes crazy once you've been zapped and you're screwed.
i agree... pretty much tells u that uve been tagged and u should find a nice shoulder to pull over soon
There are only a few ways to avoid laser. For the most part, once you are tagged with laser you're done. Unfortunately, a lot of counties are now making the switch from radar to lasar. The only reason why I still say buy a v1 if you want is because police have roaming k-band in their cruisers. If you have the v1 you can at least have a headsup on where patrol cars are. Perhaps blueline will read this and drop his 2 cents.
You might want to read this. Yes, Jammers are illegal. If you don't care, maybe you should. If you get caught with a jammer in your car, there is a possibility of up to a $75000 fine. The company selling the jammer says that if it fails and you get a ticket, they will pay it. That is all fine and good, but you are still left with the fine. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=764997&highlight=Radar+Jammer
anyone know a way to get out of a ticket in cobb, i was going the speed of traffic on 75N (78 mph), and I got tagged by a radar. limit was 55 and everyone was going the same speed, I was just in the blue car that looks fast. the guy didn't even have to get in his car, he tagged me standing on the side and told me to pull over. :suckin:
i dont think im gonna get a jammer. i found they dont work like the intentions are implied. i will stick to a detector. i just have a heavy foot on the highway when makin a 6 hour trip. which i do alot. ill just keep the speed down.
90% of the 'jammers' you are looking at are not doing what you want them to do. What you are looking for is highly illegal. I had a buddy in the Army that put together a 'black box' wired to a V1. When the V1 went off, the jammer would go off and kill everything within a certain frequency (I would have to ask him about the range of frequencies his was programmed for). Needless to say, this violates more than one federal law. Jammers are usually limited to military and SWAT. I repeat, EVERYTHING within the frequency range gets jammed. This can affect everything from cell phones, FM/AM radio stations, emergency response radios, ect. ... this is why they are usually limited to military and SWAT. Jammers can also affect certain LASER guns because they are frequency based. My friend tried to explain it but I could never explain it to someone else. Basically the LASER would hit its target, but it would have no way to report the information back to the processor (VERY simplified). Expect to receive approximately $150k in fines for getting caught with one, SEVERAL hours of interogations (to find out why you had one / who you got it from) and possible jail time. You are better off just slowing down, watching traffic (and using a V1) when you NEED to speed or turn your car into a wingless, stealth exhaust, untinted window, turbo sleeper (think mitsu galant VR4).
Both times my Escort detector has picked up lasers, it has been from the laser bouncing off cars in traffic ahead of me. In fact yesterday on I20-E it picked one up about a half mile up the road over a small hill. I couldn't even see him until i crested the hill and saw him pulling over some poor guy way in the distance. The Escort Passports are definately excellent detectors.
