Can you believe he is at work today? Now that's dedication (of insanity).

I wanted to make sure I could. I've got 5 cars to tune in 2 days in Tampa this Thursday-Friday...

Thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers. Please continue to pray for a complete recovery. I'm still VERY slow on my feet with very little core strength. I've got hopefully my last Dr's appt tomorrow. My guts aren't really working right yet....

Let's just hope that nothing worse happens in your state of condition right now.

Hope you recover quickly. My wife had hers removed, and it took her a couple of months to get back to normal.

Yes it was. Scott told me they went in through his bellybutton.

I'm not sure what the difference is, but they called it laproscopic... I've got a 1-inch incision in my upper abs, two 1-cm holes between my abs and obliques, and a 1-inch in the upper edge of my bellybutton...

Once it's out it's great. I can eat anything other than high-acid drinks like orange juice and lemonade. I thought I was lactose intolerant, but it was just the gallbladder. So now I get to enjoy milkshakes and ice cream again :D

What were the symptoms? My chest sometimes feels funny and my throat has this irritation that feels like a popcorn kernel is stuck in there. I've been to 2 different ENT docs and they said all look fine. Took acid reflux meds and no difference. I personally think it's the pockets on my tonsils are enlarged and have crud in them.....I'll hack out a nasty tonsil stone here and there and when I feel the irritation the most I can faintly taste that nasty tonsil stone. The stupid ENT just won't listen to me and check....time to find a better doc.

The symptoms are pretty bad once you have a full-on gallbladder attack. They include severe back and chest pain...and I mean severe..plus :barf:

When my attacks happened, the ER thought I was having a heart attack. Never been rushed into an ER so fast. Same thing happened to my dad and Travis' grandfather. Symptoms were almost identical to a heart attack.

Yep, the gallbladder attack that finally put me in the ER was like I had been shot with an arrow just right of my sternum and the arrow was lodged just inside of my shoulder blade. Literally, it was as if there was a decent sized stick stuck through my chest right there.

I had gotten fairly used to some pain there, but it finally got bad enough to drive my fever to about 102. The fever is what finally convinced the doc to suggest going to the ER.

Gallbladder was out the next Thursday and I felt like I'd been hit by a truck for a few days. Apparently I had a lot more scar tissue than the surgeon had expected and the procedure to a lot of "scraping." I went back to work the next Tuesday I think...

Is the pain on that side or can it be pretty much directly below the sternum?

Gallbladder is pretty high... like nip height heading toward lower inner edge of shoulder blade. At least that's where mine was ;)
