On PSC's?? Ian ran his GT2 at last year's GRM challenge at VIR to a :58/:59and that was on Hoosiers/Slicks.

Ian's is a decent driver, with a well setup suspension, with mild power upgrades, and no aero.

So add a great driver, good aero, and about 100whp... yeah 2+ seconds is easy.

Yup, but with some sticky tires, no PSC's. If you are planning to run Modified, you'll probably run NT-01's, R888's, or RA'1s. All of which are pretty slippy tires. And many of the RTA tracks in 2010 are more technical, where HP doesn't equate to massive gains on the stop watch. Autobahn and NJ (Lightening Course) on the eastern RTA circuit are good examples which balance and mechanical grip will take priority over power and aero.

Pilot Sport cups are within 1 second a lap of hoosier R6's on a p-car. That tire was specifically designed for the chassis.

It's not the car... Or the tires... It's the driver. Rofl

I'm confused... the comparison shows the PSC's being outperformed in every category... and that's a "normal" street tire, nothing like a Hoosier R6. The comparison seems to show the V710 being WAY grippier and those don't compare to a Hoosier...

Hell the V710 is just as fast as the hoosier R6 and its not much ahead of the PSC. I am not debating there are faster, stickier tires available.

Here is a better test... from 2002 with an IS300 none the less, they tested the PSC and the car pulled 1.02g on the skidpad... pretty damn impressive. Now if only the PSC's weren't so damn expensive.

But the fact is the PSC is a very good tire.
