doug, tray.... there are a LOT of people signed up, are you sure you don't want us to at least bring some buns/patties/dogs? i know it's a writeoff but it's still a big spread.
Yeah, I still haven't gotten my car dynoed. I've been at Cobb Stage 2+ for about a year and a half now, and I'd really like to see what I'm making power wise. I'm hoping it's about 230 awhp, but we'll see. I'd like to get a Protune, but I don't think Topspeed does that. Oh well, I'm still really looking forward to it. Besides, it's only like a 5 hour drive. :wiggle:
This is going to be great. I just finished talking to Tray about this and apparently Troncalli is interested in swinging by with a few 06's, raffle off some prizes and give test drives. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
Do you think you'll be doing Protune's by the dyno day? I'll be coming regardless, but I was wondering if I should be planning on having some extra money for a tune also. Thanks.
im gonna start setting up a caravan here in a week or so for us northern guys. Prolly meet somewhere off 85 then hit 400.
bobby: i'll be out of town when u get the car... but let me know how it feels learning to drive stick on a car with a light flywheel
let me know where you northern boys are meeting, i'm in buford, i wouldn't mind joining the caravan. maybe i'll even have my ecutek dialed in by then? oh forgot to mention, yes prodrive is giving ecutek's to people with stage 3 as far as i know. it takes a while but it's worth it.
me and 1llwrx were talking about discover mills as a possibility, there is quiet a few of us that live this way. I will post a caravan thread on friday.
how about we meet in douglasville and caravan....... *goes off and kicks the ground, "No one lives near you STUPID!":wtc:
do you think topspeed would be cool and would anyone help out with a spring install on dyno day in the parking lot?
sorry bro this is the first time ive really found anyone to meet with me since i live in the middle of nowhere haha.... i hope Tray or Doug can make some mean hamburgers and hot dogs because im bringing an appetite :tasty:
Thats fine if you would like to install springs in the parking lot... as long as you are not blocking any access way into the shop or leaving the shop. Also if you hurt yourself doing the spring install we are not responsible... ohh and clean up after yourself... that said sure, bring it on.
i think i am gonna get in on this. do you guys care if i post this in the GA forum on ClubWRX.net? id like to get the guys down here in the south to come with me. also, does Topspeed do UTEC tuning? could i get a tune on the dyno day?
Sure, we'll probably just keep the same heirarchy that we've used in the past. Members first, then other Subarus(since the dyno wont need to be adjusted), then non-subaru people. I've gotta agree with Alex earlier, each dyno day we've had has smashed the one before it sizewise (1st dyno day was ~10 cars dynoing almost exactly 1 year ago). Way to go guys!
sweet, then count me in. ill see if i can round up my southern GA WRX and STi owners. this is gonna rock harder than AC/DC!!
We do tune the Utec along with almost every other engine managment... (except accessport). Unfortunately due to the amount of cars we will be dynoing we will not have time to tune anything. If you would like feel free to contact us here at the shop to set up a date that works for you to have it tuned.
definitely do that... let me know how many friends r gonna dyno so we can keep a head count... also have them check our site and sign up :bigthumb:
caravan link is up for those of you that want to here on the northern side. link - http://forums.wrxatlanta.com/showthread.php?t=3150 let me know if you want to meet up with us at discover mills and i will add you to the list
