Im getting a squeal from the left front wheel at slower speeds 10-15mph. Its not the brake squeal because my pads have plenty of life left in them. I felt my rotors and there are groves in them could that cause the noise?

Or does this sound like me bearings are going?

just get the front end off the ground and see if the wheel has play...by the time a wheel bearing is making that noise the wiggle test will be obvious.
    what pads do you have?

If it gets louder when you turn in one direction then it sounds like the bearing. Mine didn't squeal though...made more of a worring noise. wor...wor..wor...wor..wor.

My HPS pads do squeal, a little bit. That can be fixed with some of the right grease on the back of the pad.

my bet is the pads, I have a bad wheel bearing now (not yet squealing)but when I hit the brake the feedback in the steering is scary...I drive WOT or STOP!

I have similar issue, installed new HP Plus Pads, turned rotors, and the right front [maybe rear too] likes to squeal after they get heated up a bit and when easing off to a stop- hard stop = no squeal, light touch= loud squeal; heavy touch=no squeal.
Tried reversing the symetrical separator plate that holds the pads apart, re-cleaned and substitued CRC Disc Quiet instead of hawk supplied grease. Mystery squeal still there.
Left Side= quiet. Maybe redo the rear with CRC Disc Quiet next

Betting on a pad not playing nice, but could be a slight warp in the rotor or lugs not torqued right. Would pull the rim off and clean the mating surface between rotor and rim also.

Thanks-BTW, lug torque was set to 85 ft lbs in sted star pattern from what I thought was good reference, however after looking this up http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=450557 2005-2007 STI wheels are 17 x 8 with a +53mm offset and weigh 19.2 pounds. Lug Pattern: 5 x 114.3, Lug Thread: 12 x 1.25, Lug Torque: 65 ft/lbs, Lug Nut size is 19MM. it looks like most often cited spec is 65 ft lbs.- think that could be part of the issue?

Sounds like normal HP+ behavior to me, they are known to be noisy when lightly braking.

Jerome's issue seems to squeal without brake touch indicating something is off.

That's exactly it but I haven't had time to take the wheel off and clean everything or even drive the car. I need to do both soon
