so I was coming home from Bonnaroo this weekend driving down the highway for about 2 hours and all of a sudden when I pressed the accelerator the car hesitates and kind of shudders and then kicks in almost as if it is misfiring really bad but no CELs are set. It did this rest of the way home but only upon acceleration. Once the car is shut off and allowed to cool off a bit it drives perfectly fine. I have just recently fixed a vacuum leak replaced the spark plugs and two coils. I really dont know how to go about diagnosing it from here. anyone have any suggestions?

Kind of sounds like fueling is still off somehow. What kind of plugs did you put back in there?

Could be a number of things. Dirty MAF, bad plugs even though you have new ones the gap could be off on one, another bad coil (they HATE heat...ironic when you think about where they are located), fueling off (could be fuel filter, flaky fuel pump), etc.

I'd be willing to bet if you take it to Topspeed, Doug could pinpoint the issue fairly quick. My car had a flaky cyl 2 coil and I didn't even know it. No CELS but Doug saw it on the laptop.

What did you gap the plugs at? Give me a call. I have some other questions. Maybe I can help troubleshoot it over the phone a bit. If not, you are not but 15 minutes from me.

I'm guessing your MAF got dirty from all the hippies at Bonaroo :)

Are the plugs the correct gap as well?
