have you ever done it before? There are a lot of knick-knack tools you'll need to help make everything go smoother
Like what? From memory, I pulled mine with hand tools and a lift. Don't remember needing anything special.
i have never done it before but dana had said he was going to help and im sure with some support i could do it... but if you remember any of those tools or someone else can chime in it would be appreciated
yeah if you're just pulling the motor, simple hand tools should suffice. removing/reinstalling heads, well thats a different story and probably another day
Although I have never removed our motor, I wouldn't mind giving an extra hand if nothing comes up between now and then.
im kinda waiting to hear from dana but probably saturday... doesnt really matter to me, so its kinda what ever day people can make if they want to come hangout/ help
mefryrice your more than welcome to come, im just making this a little gathering to get some of the guys together
yeah, depending on the year model make sure you have the stuff to get the shift fork outta the way, also make sure you use a deep 6-point for the motor mounts...12-point will just round them off.
I'm up for it. It's a hell of a drive, but sounds fun. I'll just be a spectator, of course. I don't have much knowledge when it comes to a lot of this stuff.
updated first post with my address, also burgers or hot dogs or both? and lets here some choices for beer guys.... btw not trying to go broke buying beer but im not talking natty ice by any means lol
well im getting excited... its been so long since i have done anything with the car and longer since i have seen anyone from the sight... hope everyone is still on for coming out
have pulled a few in the past myself... shouldn't be too bad... anyone headed from gwinnett that could use a passenger???
I'll let you guys know by the end of today. Ffffffuuuuuuuuuuu. I really hope I can get someone to cover for me tomorrow. Otherwise, I won't be able to go.
wow just realized i hadnt posted a time... gonna be at starting at 10 but feel free to come whenever...
I'm not gonna make it. I could have helped on Sunday. I have a busy morning with my sons soccer games and in the afternoon I am putting my engine together. good luck.
Yeaahh. Nevermind. Can't make it. Something stupid came up. Have fun. And I hope everything goes well.
Jk. It went smooth. We didn't run into any problems except him dropping the socket and ratchet on my stomach from above the car. Luckily I'm built like a Spartan and it didn't hurt. He was kind enough to let me get him back by spraying fuel in his face. Great hospitality with lots of beer and good food, can't wait to put it back in.
Mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. And you SUCK! I almost believed you. Hahah! Good to hear that nothing bad happened. I wish I went..................
yeah big thanks to dana... for all that didnt show your not welcome back for the install... hahahahaha jk i will keep everyone updated on the status of the motor and what is happening with getting it back together!
Kewwll. Let's get a date on when you're gonna get the motor back in so that I can request the day off. Lol
