I've been kinda out of the loop recently but are there any plans for a spring install day? I've got some differentials that really need new fluid and a couple of suspension bushings that need to be replaced. Most importantly I havent drank beer and wrenched on Subarus in a long time. -Bobby
Ha, really? That car is now my complete responsibility to get running again. And I dont have time for it . . . To clarify, this thread was not about installing SPRINGS on cars, but rather whether there was anything planned for the Spring season.
And a single florescent fixture. I'm trying to work on that one. Everyone is busy getting their floors did...I still need lighting, and a LOT of it.
Anyone want to help me do a head gasket change? (-_-)...I've never pulled a motor before =(, but I really want to learn
Ive got a motor, rear diff, driveshaft, exhaust, etc that needs installation lol I'm down to help out install something. It'd be nice to get a big parking lot like the good ole days, though that limits doing stuff like motor pulls etc.
Lol. I wouldn't even need to do anything. I'd just enjoy watching first hand mods getting installed. But I do need my springs installed... But I haz no Subie.
Or. Hopefully he'll bring it on the day, and then you can snag it and install it. Then run. Run for dear life.
Like the good ole days, my thoughts exactly. Big parking lot, lots of jackstands, couple coolers of brews and a grill for food.
When I first heard of these "Mod Meets", I always wanted to go to one. But, I'm still pretty new to here so I've never had an opportunity to go to one, as they never happened while I was/am active.
I'll volunteer to do some cooking if someone brings a grill. I just need a couple weeks heads up if we do this on a saturday so I can get the day off.
I'm down for a meet. I'm a new Subaru owner and new to the site so I'm tryin to meet some of the community..don't know how to install much.. But I can grill!
Awesome! You should come out to the next dinner meet this coming Tuesday. http://wrxatlanta.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29832
The weather is improving nicely -- if we can get a few solid days of nice weather in a row I'd be happy to have a few people over at the house. We can fire up the grill and see about having some homebrew available.
in for the drinks...hell, nicad, wrxin8or (not really) and myself rebuilt my entire STi w/ an average BAC of .2
^^^ I'll give it to you, you can change interior dome lights, bench press motors and angle motor hoists with the best of them
I only dissamble things now with a BAC that high. Tried to put heads on once with a good buzz and realized it was a bad idea and stopped.
If we drink that much during assembly, imagine how we look during disassembly...damn you for introducing us to Firefly, a bottle of that should be mandatory with tool chests, it's more important than the ratchet
i'd be interested in showing up, i've got jackstands and a big ol floor jack. Had home made ramps out of stacked 2x6's but a 'friend' borrowed them and moved
Count me in if it's on a Saturday. I have quite a few things I've been putting off and would like to get them installed. I have the tools, just not the space. I'm pretty far away, but I can always convince myself to drive three hours if a mod/upgrade is in the works.
did we ever choose a date for this?? i just ordered a set of tokico D-spec struts looks like the wrx will stay with me for a while now
Garage fits two, but there isn't exactly space on the street or driveway for anyone else to do anything We're talking with AllPro and TopSpeed about having one of them host it.
