Found this site whilst perusing other subaru forums... Looked like a cool place, and some good info. I do realize I'm not local, but I do make trips across the SE from time to time Currently contemplating a WRX/Saabaru, and I like to research as much as I possibly can before I make decisions. I've had friends that had WRX/STI's, and always enjoyed them. I'm Mike, and I currently reside in Greenwood, MS. Here's a quick run down of whats in the stable: '86 GT - Redfox -Lots o' suspension -Stock motor and trans (for now) -Big Brakes, 10th Anniversary wheels -HSW nitrous kit -Built to be an outdated handling machine - with a suprise :naughty: '86 GT - Mr. Ed -GF's project I've pretty much taken ownership of, lol -'93 HO engine -No front sway -Basic bolt ons -Lakewoods all the way around. -"True Dual" exhaust from PO -Tractor paint -Nitrous -The master axle-snapper. Faster than the Red one, even before mods and 2.73 gears! '97 Civic DX Hatch - the Ugly Duckling -My Daily/short trip/dog/grocery hauler -PO painted the car, but forgot to sand it first -Exhaust leak -eBay header -Ghetto dark tint -Tinted tails -Del Slo seats -Wakes the neighbors, reliable yet hideous transportation. '99 F-350 PSD SRW - Fluffy, the elephant -HD headlight conversion with HID's -4" exhaust -DIY intake -Mostly dechromed -Simple sound system -Awesome tow rig, 20+ MPG unloaded. Just graduated college, first "real" job, tons of changes over the last year. Trying to get settled, and hoping to get back to having some fun with em. Just put the Civic and F350 on the market, with the red GT soon to follow. Lookin forward to meeting some folks, and learning a bit! -Michael

meh, gotta do something to make it more interesting... I don't normally name my vehicles, but I figured what the heck, lol. Thanks for the welcome!
b reel, which picture are you referring to? The one with the red car and the cone is at Myrtle Beach Speedway The one with the black civic is actually close to a place called Valley Hill, right outside of Greenwood, MS. :wavey:
Thanks J_P! b reel, there is still a 1/2 or 3/4 mile oval out there - It is/was NASCAR sanctioned at one time. Not sure if it still is. Still used quite a bit locally, and is used for some of the national car meets that are done in the area. That particular picture was taken in 2009 at Mustang Week. We do an autox/lapping day there. Quite a blast when a 25 year old, less than 200 hp car is chasing down 700hp monsters in the turns! Nothing like watching folks double take in the rearview, lol.
Welcome to the site! I found this place while I was still in ATL, but have since moved to the left coast. I still frequent here because I think it is one of the best and friendliest Subaru forums out there! I originally wanted a Saabaru myself. They are pretty hard to find, so I ended up getting an 03 WRX sedan and now I am in an 08 Legacy. Good luck!
I'm actually hoping for a Saabaru or a WRX wagon, honestly. It all depends - if it isnt in the cards for now, I'll just be doing some learning! Thanks for the welcome!
Alex, Glad to be here! Banana, Car looks AWESOME! Wish mine looked that nice! Really jealous because you've got that DD thing going out back - I can't fit much more than a 9" wheel with a 275 in the rear with my current rear suspension setup. Rather than upset subie folks with 'stang talk, shoot me a PM, I'd like to hear more about ya fox, and I'll detail some on mine, if you'd like. -Michael
