I have a Sonic Yellow WRX up there still, but it's somewhat of a half dead Frankenstein. I bought it back in 05 and it's been through rounds and rounds. It's got a JDM Ver. 4 STi 6 speed swap with Brembos, and just about every suspension mod I could drudge up. The latest was me prepping it for a Darton Sleeved EJ257 built heads, Wiseco forged pistons with Manley turbo tuff I beam rods, a rotated GT35R kit, blahblahblah. Then I got laid off and all that came to a halt. Then I bought a bike and started selling parts off the WRX. :wtc: Between the bike and the RS all my needs were filled. Now here I am. I miss all my Suby buddies up in Indiana and figured I'd meet some more down here. I used to run Indy Region (GLVR) SCCA (Auto-X) and Ohio Valley Region SCCA (Rally-X) but it's been a few years and am dieing to get back into it. I have a girlfriend and a 9 year old son, but he's going back to Indiana to live with his mom after the summer's over. Up in Indiana I am/was a volunteer firefighter and an EMT, and hope to get into that as well down here. Thanks for having me!

Hi All! New member here from Suwanee looking forward to learning all that I can from you Subaru Guru's. I have a 2012 Ice Silver WRX Sedan on order that I hope to have next week. It was supposed to be delivered Aug 10th then the 20th thennn the 28th! Grrr! SOA and Stivers Subaru have agreed to give me a 84/100,000 mile Gold Extended warranty for my patience with 0 deductible so that helps take some of the sting out of the wait. I ordered it with short shifter, front lip spoiler, STI shift knob, all weather mats and extended armrest. As far as mods I have no idea??? Maybe some of you can point me in the right direction. As you know I'm new to WRXs so I just thought that like most cars open it up so it can breath a little better and then add the Cobb Access Port to fine tune what is there. At that Point I'm done. I can't have this car go like my 240 did.

Howdy....although I don't actually own a WRX, my new to me 05 Outback XT is a WRX in soul! That being said, I've been a Subaru owner since I got my 01 LL Bean Outback new in 2001. I live in Cumming, but work at Ga Tech so I spend half of my time downtown. I go by oclvframe in all the forums but my name is Robert. As for my cars, I have a whole parking lot full: 01 Outback LLBean, 03 Rubicon TJ, 05 Outback XT, 07 Odyssey Touring, 08 328i Convertible. My mods consist of suspension and audio mods in all of my cars. I spread my forum time on LegacyGT.org, odyclub.com, subaruoutback.org, jeepforums.com, bimmerforums.com. I get my parts mostly locally but some online. All my vehicles are driven daily...so no show cars here... I don't necessarily waive at WRX's but when in my Jeep I do engage in 'jeep-waving' at other Jeeps (I didn't realize there's a WRX-waive!). I found out about this forum on legacygt.com. Hello, everyone! Hey, everyone. My name is Tomas, and I am new to the Subaru community and the tuner scene. I am a proud owner of an 05 WRB STi, which I picked up 2 months ago from CT from an older gentleman with 40k on it!!! I could not pass on this baby, so I finally got my dream-mobile. Anyway, after my initial 17 hour/1100 mile test drive down to Atlanta I knew right away I wanted to improve the handling/brakes. Less than a week later, I had my first shipment of parts at my door, and it has not stopped since. I live in Vinings/Smyrna area I like to be called my username My name is Tomas with a few accents (I am Czech), so the way to make the sounds is exactly the same as my screen name indicates Tom-aa(long a)-sh(same as the end of the word fresh) My ride has brakes/handling/suspension everything! I have focused all my attention to those areas first. Next is the go and the show. I have purchased parts from Oakos/ RallySportDirect/ ImportImageRacing/ TurnInConcepts I am new to the community and boards. I have been on Nasioc and IWSTi, but I use them to read and learn about my car. I like a balance of all. Not too race oriented, but modded enough to feel improvements on track. And a show is appreciated, since it's my DD as well. I try to wave! Online research. I am not sure if this is a good place to ask, but I am looking for a good/trustworthy person to help me work on my car. Preferably someone who is a mechanic during the day, and has time/passion for working on another STi. I would like to learn to do everything myself, but my time and space are limited right now. That is why I am asking for help. I know that there are shops specializing at these things, but nothing beats doing it yourself (or with the help of someone else). Plus, it is always nice to save some cash for more parts

Some of which turned into install weekends. :rofl: A case of beer and/or pizza go a long way around here. That and actually helping out rather than sitting back and letting someone else do the work for you for free.

Hey guys...my old moniker was "Kenny" ..had the 09 Red WRX sold for the 04 E46 M3 awhile back...My new ride is a 12 Mustang GT w/ Brembo pkg. and 3.73's..Ford Racing Pro Cal tune and Shelby Exhaust. Its a daily driver, so not much planned other than that. I will be looking for a daily driver soon in the way of perhaps a 05-07 STI in decent shape..maybe some nice mods already done on it.
