I've got a 04 wrx(completely stock) with a 180k on it. My check engine light came on friday going down 75 and it started idling between 1500 to 2500 rpms when stopped. I figured I just needed to clean my idle air control valve. But theres oil all around this gasket type ring. Any ideas or suggestions.
needs new PCV assembly, a thorough upper intake cleansing and check for vacuum leaks at the connections. usually the hoses will have cracks and/or splits on the ends.
Its just an intercooler to throttle body coupler. The dealer should be able to look it up no problem.
Alright I cleaned the pcv valve and replaced the air control valve gasket(it was in two pieces). Now it won't crank, it sounds like its not getting any fuel, and ideas or suggestions? thanks
