Saw this on Chattanooga Region SCCA forums: Just called them this afternoon and spoke to someone to get the details... -6 people have paid. -20 people max, they want to have 15. -Instructors are available, and aren't required if you've driven TGPR before. -Will be grouped based on skill level (roughly). -5 cars per session, 15 min sessions. -Start at 8AM, stop at 5PM, brake from 12pm-1pm for lunch. -Snell 2000 helmet required at a minimum. They didn't seem to understand the difference between SA and M, and having used M there before, I'm assuming that's still OK. I'm in pending a well-fuctioning car. I know it runs and doesn't leak, just need the break-in tune done on the dyno and I can go pick her up.
Fun track, laid-back atmosphere, good cause, and pretty cheap. I won't be able to make this one (will be at AMP), but this is a great track for a first track day experience for anyone who has wanted to give it a try. Len
That goofy closing radius corner in the middle? I'd like to run that track backwards sometime, the only problam would be runoff in turn one. This is a very fun track, and great for beginners! The track workers are all cool guys too. Best of luck, I would go if it was possible for me. I sent the link to my dad and brother.
 Yeah, T3... Evil decreasing-radius turn of suck! I've heard of when they allowed running it backwards. Provided Murphy leaves me alone this weekend and TopSpeed tunes my STI, I'll be in for TGPR if there's still spots available.
I'm old enough to have run the old TGPR, with the skidpad still in place, in both directions - pretty fun. Len
