A good friend of mine cornered me into doing this event at RA on Friday. It's going to be me and my wagon's 1st time on track as well as he and his AMG E55.

It should be a load of fun. I'll probably have to shop for brake pads and tires afterwards, hahah.

If any of you guys show up, I'm in the blue 06 WRX wagon :).

I would recommend switching to track pads and a high temp brake fluid before you go. Will make your track day much more enjoyable.

Just take it easy and get used to the line. RA is a hell of a track to take on for your first track day but as long as you take your time and stay within your driving abilities...you should have a great time out there.

I think the WRX is his limiting factor. When I went with my WRX, I cooked the bushings in my brake calipers (the 4pot stokers). I also was braking like a mad man and cracked the Carbotech 9s I think and went over the temperature threshold of the DBA 6000 rotors. But meh..

Definitely enjoy yourself and be safe and don't break your car.

Have fun out there. Did you ever get the turbo put on?

VF 39 is on and running nicely :). 17-18psi peak down to 12psi by ~6k. Entertaining, but not overtaxing.

I'm not expecting the world in the braking department, so I'll try not to overcook it too much entering the turns.

There should be enough roll and pitch in the stock suspension to make it move around enough to be fun without actually going Mach 3 :). Turn 12 should be interesting, lol.

    Awesome!
Track is definitely fast. I was kind enough to my brakes and the pedal didn't go soft until the last time driving hot thru 10a. That was in the last of five 20 minute sessions.
Turn 12 wasn't too bad once I cleaned the poop out of my pants. The more I got it right, the bigger lump in my throat would get. Exiting on the limiter in 3rd by the end of the day... ~95mph.

Turn 1 is was fun enough to 4 wbeel drjft through the apex... 70+.

I guess I came away feeling that the track is way more forgiving than it looks... at least with my wrx.

My good friend has a renntech e55 amg. Chasing that thing around the track at speed was stoopid fun, too. I was way faster than it until he got comfortable driving it.
