It's that time of the year again folks! If you've never been to an event, it's time you did. Come out and see what the sport's all about. Register your car, see how it handles at it's limit. Have fun with your car in a safe, open environment. We're at AMS, March 10th, the largest lot we have available to us. Link to Register: http://tinyurl.com/c397m9t What is Auto-X? (might need to register to the forum) http://forum.soloatlanta.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=1669 This is THE BEST Mod you can do to your car, folks. Seat time. Come find me if you have questions about anything Auto-X related. I'm at every race all year long. 2005 WRX, STX 22/122. I run the Tech Inspection Team. Pit your monster builds against me and my wife in my 80% stocker :naughty: I bet my WRX times beat your STi times... :ddirty: It's a great way to spend a Sunday with motorheads if nothing else. I hope to see a lot more of you guys out there this year. Bring it!
Yes! It's cool, though. We all start out there...keep at it, do some schools. Grab me some time and maybe we can do some instruction or something. Thanks for coming out!
Oh, definitely! I've learned a huge amount and, since starting 2 years ago, moved from 15+ seconds behind the pack to only 4ish at the events last year if I recall. I'll be sure to say hi at Points 1.
Please do come say hello. After a few months off, I only remember people by their cars Keep at it, and your times will fall drastically. I think it took my 3rd year for all the different habits to sink in. Look ahead, both hands on the wheel, Look head, remember the break points from my course walk, look ahead. It's easy And, don't forget, this Sunday is DST. We lose and hour on Sunday morning.
I won't be at AMS but hopefully I'll see you guys at Turner Field in April. I need to get the ACR sorted out so I can beat on it properly... :bigthumb:
I'm still hoping to do that intro class on the 23rd. Waiting on my bonus check, but I may just put it on a credit card. I'll be driving from Asheville for this event, and then hopefully start running some closer to me. I may do my first autocross on the 30th in Hickory, NC. I'll be running a stock 2011 Evo MR. Not sure what class to run in the future, but I think it will determine upgrades to the car in the future. I see myself getting addicted to this.:sx:
When you go for your first event, you'll run in the Novice class so you can get good instruction on course. It's a huge help so you understand and see the course at speed. The folks at the race will be able yo tell you what class you do fall into.
We had a good showing of Subies at the event Sunday! Thanks for showing your support guys. I think Trey might be the next addict. Glad you guys got to come out early enough and get some ride-alongs. At one point I had 4 people in my car racing Gotta love those 4-doors!
Ok. So there was a guy in a newer STI with rally mud flaps I ran into on the way out of the track. Mike I believe. We pulled over on the side of the road and talked for a second. He was looking for the get-together and I thought he was talking about the race. Did he ever find you guys?
I think that guy was looking for your house. Was wondering if he made it over there or if he just went over to the the track.

Does anybody know if the SCCS Starting line includes racing on Sunday, or should I sign up for Sunday's race separate? Also this will be my first Autocross, should I sign up for the novice class? Thanks, Chris
I am not sure, but I don't think Saturday starting line included Sunday. I would register novice just to get a extra run in. Class for evo is class b. http://www.moutons.org/sccasolo/index.shtml See you out there. Trey:wavey:
