Looks good, although I would expect nothing less from JPM. JPM crew does great work. Heads and shoulders above most businesses. Have a safe trip.
All packed up and ready for Wicked Big Meet. Two more finishing touches to the car before we took off as well. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
might still want to tape up the nose, top leading edge of the roof at windshield and the mirrors for safe measure.
A couple of small updates. The visors (black Alcantara, black leather strap, red stitching, JPM tag) installed. I am trying out a weighted shift knob from Anarchy Motive (raw finish). The gauges in and running.
I have that same shift knob. I love the weight and the fact it doesn't get palm melting hot when it sits in the sun because it's powdercoated.
What do you do when you run out of things to do... It has been insanely rainy and humid in GA so getting out to do anything outside that doesn't involve water is difficult. Got out this morning for a bit though...even though the light and everything sucked. A little bit different edit than I normally do.
nice shots man! overcast skies are so perfect for car work. It makes your paint look even more stunning.
Got a grad ND? or you could always do the double exposure that I end up doing Granted I haven't looked out the window yet, so I haven't the slightest idea what the cloud density is right now
Catching the thread up a little. Don't mind me...just having one of those "man...it has been a long ride" moments thinking about the build. New clutch Hood scoop caught something... Checking oil and other fluid levels before leaving for the mountains. At the top of HWY 60 in north GA. Daniel is checking out the motorcycles with my wife while the car cools down a bit. Holy Cow man this car is the most amazing WRX I believe I have seen. Great job and keep up the good work.
I know I'm very late in posting......but this is fantastic. I saw a raw prototype in the shop when I was there, so it is very cool to see the finished product - especially with the gauges. This is [another] amazing detail in your car.
I still watch it and laugh. I love that kid. I originally purchased it from Import Image and it had an adapter in the box that was made to insert into silicone. They are pretty small. The one I have now does the trick though. Thanks! Thanks! What is your screen name on there? The interior is one of my favorite parts. JPM is addicting.
Playing in Photoshop...what do you guys think? How it sits now. Work Emotion 11r's Photoshop renders. Know any companies that want to sponsor my car on a set of TE37's?
I have a love hate for the te37's. Yes I know they are super light and strong for the sizes they come in, but for me their super popularity sorta makes them boring to me visually. Also, I like having center caps so I've never cared for the sl line, but I think they are some of the lightest wheels you can get 9.5 and higher. The fit you car really well though. EDIT: just please don't do re30's
Rota did a great job of that by basically making a name off of knocking these off. For some reason...I really like the blue.
agreed, i really dig the blue on your paint. its got me wishing i did go for those xd9's in that blue. they are a nice clean look at the end of the day, and probably a ton easier to clean over the 11r's
WTF are you talking about, How often do you see real deal te37's. Don't say often, I won't believe you!
i agree with you, it is rare to actually see real ones, i was more commenting on the overall design. ROTA's and others have really 'mainstreamed' the look of them. Granted Im pretty sure everyone on this forum could probably tell the difference. I still do love those wheels on a subie.
Anyone who's in the car game should spot the difference a mile away. Rota and some other company tried making a copy, but they don't even come close to the look of the real thing. Sorry to hijack your thread. I think they would look nice on your suby, give it a try.
The blue without the stickers look sick.....WAY better than the current wheels. DO EET! Sponsor? LAWL with the money you've dumped in that car what's another few thou?
blue does look great, and you have never made a bad choice w/ your car, I just believe the black flows better w/ the paint job etc. But again, you can't go wrong because you're Robb Sutton.
So I wasn't too happy with the way the carbon looked coming straight from Chargespeed. It didn't have that black gloss carbon look I was really hoping for. It looked almost grey which made it blend more with my paint than contrast it. I took everything over to my man Bryson over at WagonWerks (the guys that painted my car) and he made them look exactly the way I wanted. Now they are gloss black carbon and it looks incredible.
I didn't even get the chance to really detail it like I wanted to. It was just too damn hot outside. You should have seen it before though...I hadn't washed it in weeks with everything we have had going on at home. It was embarrassing.
I got the chance to get out and play a little tonight. They aren't great but I wanted to try out a new light I got from Amazon.
This is what I see when I drive. Working on new interior shots. This one could have been done better but you get the idea.
I just installed the wrx illumination kit as well, to have them on all the time. now I have both the STI ones and those lol, looks cool when they are both on. eventually jpm will get some love from me, i'm going the route of engine mania first
Rob, Where did you get your Chargespeed pieces? They look great. I need to at least get the front lip and side skirts. Adam
