I have a 2013 sti and really want to get tint on it. Ceramic 35% all around with an 80% windshield. Anyone else want nice tint? I figure if we could get a few people together we could get a discount. I know oasis on hwy 120 is good, any other places you guys recommend that do good job?
I have Formula 1 Pinnacle 35% on all my windows and Llumar Air 80 on my front windshield and it is perfect. I went to Total Appearance on Pleasant hill Rd because they are one of the more respected Formula One dealers. I dont think there are many on this forum that will spend the money on high end tint. People here bitch about spending $150 on tint from the place on Buford hwy.
These guys, http://www.oasiswindowtinting.com/ They have been in business for over 25 years. They use some of the best quality tint out there. They are a bit pricey. When I took my BMW in, they were working on 2 lambos and had few other high end cars parked in the front. (I just reread your whole first post, yes, go to Oasis)
I took my 2013 there, and got the 30% Pinnacle ceramic on all windows except the front. It was $369 w/ tax if I remember correctly. I did a TON of research (more than a month's worth) on window tint and local installers before hand. They did a really good job. The only negative about the place, is that there is no waiting room. I sat on the curb for a few hours, lol. I wish I went with the 35% but I'm still very happy with the results so far.
I've had 9 of my cars tinted at Solar Control in Cumming, Georgia. Those guys are freakin' amazing. Perfect job every time and worth the hour drive for us. Have used Dynamic Sound off Jimmy Carter and Xtreme Window Tint in Lawrenceville. Both were AWFUL experiences. Dynamic sound left several bubbles and Xtreme Window tint had tons of lint and several bubbles as well.
Unsure if I am resurrecting a thread. But i just went to 'the tint guy' in woodstock. total was 260$ that was with a 15% discount. I have been told that i paid a little more than usual, but I got the 3M Color Stable, 35% ( or legal, i think its 35%). looks good so far. took 1hr 40m. I will update if I see any issues.
"The Tint Guy" is awesome. I've had great luck with them in the past. I've personally had 5 vehicles done by them and the quality of film and installation is top notch. A few years ago the edge of one of my front windows started to peel a little and they replaced it for free no questions asked. With tint you usually get what you pay for. 250-300 is pretty average for a 4 door sedan if the company is using legit film with a lifetime guarantee. My dealership has a guy that will do a whole car for $150 no matter what the size....but the film he uses is NOT as good as 3M and the whole installation looks half assed compared to The Tint Guy.
