Ha, sorry guys, I cleaned up some of the larger pictures, and this post is definitely work in progress. Man you guys click fast!!! I figured I needed to throw up a proper members journal, my DIY thread(s) have turned into semi journals in themselves which wasn't exactly the original intent, and lots of golden info got lost in them. The car is also getting a LOT of publicity now strangely enough, and I need a place to direct folks to for info. Proper pictures and videos will be next on the list and will replace these crapper cell shots.
 :eek2: That engine bay! damn man that thing is awesome. I'm glad you've got it running, and running well. Congrats.
Someone else will have to film for that one, or i'll have to get a mount, but I agree. Also traffic got in the way when I quickly shot that one.
JPM... you drop it off there for the works? Also try to get a scoop block off plate. it'll reduce turbulence under the hood and lower temps.
Needs to be about 5500 probably, i'll make more adjustments later but it wasn't too bad for a conservative street setting.
geez that thing took off pretty damn quick. pretty sure if i ever ride in your car i would have to make sure i stop at a bathroom before hand

I edited my post because Matt clearly asked me to, and as feminine as I may have found his request to be, I still obliged him as this is his site. If you want to ruin yet another one of my threads, feel free bro whatever makes your life feel of value. In other news my son was born this morning so I doubt I could possibly care any less about this complete foolishness. Enjoy.
It's part of our rules and regulations. http://wrxatlanta.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7228 congrats on the birth of your son! You're gonna be busy for a while.
Yes sir! And yep you are correct it is, which is why I edited my post as promptly as possible. I guess for the slower readers it appeared as though I was a "ninja" it was done so quickly. Easy mistake though. Oh well! Alls well that ends well.
Congrats on the birth of your son. Just tighten down that baby seat very well when you take for a ride. You will find soon that the rumble does wonders on lulling a baby to sleep.
Congrats! Like everyone on this forum doesn't do it right? No pulls at all? Maybe we need a private section of the forum that you can only see if you are logged in. I can understand not street racing a BRZ though.
So anyway, My next mod will most certainly have to be a Crawford AOS. My little breather guy I put on both valve covers is completely soaked through lol I also want to: Tint windows (3m ceramic) Stainless brake lines New brake fluid New brake pad's Maybe even stainless clutch line and new fluid After that I want to start looking into suspension components and audio. The more I rock the stock audio system, the more I get annoyed by it. It's probably the most unbalanced stock setup i've ever used. I plan to do what Robb did to his WRX and glass in an enclosure in the old spare tire well. I want to keep my trunk as-is.
Go ahead and just replace the headunit before you go all out. It makes a world of difference. The stock speakers are ok...they are getting ZERO power. That will at least get you through until you gut everything.
I have some of the not blue super blue fluid if you want to buy it. That and I would recommend Metropolitan Window Tinting (Anthony is his name) he does ceramic llumar tint and does a great job.
Thanks Ben / Robb! I will look into both your suggestions. Meanwhile, pretty sure flat foot shifting / back fires are occasionally being logged as fine knock learn by the ECU. Since I have my EVAP hooked up wrong, about every 10 starts I get a CEL / Limp mode with no DTC (evap or gas cap) and I know it's the evap because I didn't hook the vac lines and tank vent up to the right ports i'm pretty sure. Either way, as a consequence of that I have to reset the ECU every 10-15 starts to clear the limp mode. This gives me an opportunity to let the ECU re-learn again everytime. One thing i've noticed is that it will learn fine knock from FFS and/or between shift backfires, and when it does it will continue to pull timing there for quite some time before "learning it out", and that's only if you don't re-affirm it's initial suspicions by introducing more backfiring or FFS. I confirmed that's what it is with a few datalogs, and I recall Al Friedman (Dynoflash) having this same problem on his with the stock ECU. First he disabled fine knock learn all together, then he just went with an AEM V3.
I have some actual ATE super blue you can have Never been opened and found it when I moved last year. Get a new head unit and bring by the house and we will slap her in. Any of the ceramic tints will work. Just find a good installer that will back up his service/products and you will be fine.
Have you tried the subaru head unit cheats? Subaru Stereo Hidden Menu, Tweaks, and Optimizati…: http://youtu.be/AnYFs6OpGGs also I have a tint guy that hooks it up. Stands behind his work 100% and the best price around. PM me on fb for his number
I know there was a thread on it. It was just easier for me to pull up a YouTube search for it than to dig through the forums.
