We've been noticing a trend over the past year or so. Community members are posting and replying to great topics via the chatbox. This was not our intention for the chatbox. It was intended to be for small talk, however, it seems that more and more people were using it in hopes to get an answer faster. As a result, we've decided to disable the chatbox until further notice! We have quite a few subforums within the community that you can create a post and ask your questions! What does this mean to you? Well. It means better searchability! There's quite a good bit of quality information that gets posted to the chatbox. Having said that, that information gets lost (but not really) as it's buried by more chatter. Having your thoughts, or links or questions in the actual forums means you can go back to those topics easier. And it will help the future members find a topic that's already been discussed in the past. It's all about the betterment of the community! The other change was that I removed the NSFW subforum. It wasn't being used and isn't necessary as there are many many many other options for that
I fully agree with this decision! Plus, I was always lost when I looked at the chat box....it was way too hard to try and catch up!
