I might be working, but if I get some new work schedule like Boss man said I was, I might be able to go. I don't think I've ever seen cars go that fast in person. If I go, I'd be down for a mountain run up to this event. Can we pay at the event or do we have to pay in advance?
Here is a little checklist you can use for things to bring to the event: (Most of this is for drivers, not spectators, but some applies) DOT or SNELL certified helmet 10 years or newer. Jeans/Pants Tennis Shoes, No Flip Flops! Go Pro's Portable Tool Set Air Compressor if necessary Pop-Up Tents/Chairs Cooler with drinks (Driver's lunch is free and we will have food vendors for your pit crew and guests!!).........ALCOHOL is not allowed! GRILLING IS PROHIBITED! Sunscreen! Cash for Pit Crew, Guest Spectator Entry Fees and Food for Family Members/Friends Be Ready to GO FAST!!
(Again, for drivers not spectators but still useful info) Also, PLEASE ARRIVE BETWEEN 7:00-7:45AM on September 13th and 14th for driver check-in!! NOTE WE HAVE PUSHED BACK THIS CHECK-IN TIME TO LATER IN THE MORNING SO PEOPLE AREN'T DRIVING IN THE DARK THIS YEAR UP THE MOUNTAIN. This ensures all vehicles will be inspected and that we will be ready to race around 8:30AM. Remember, Clayton, GA, is on EASTERN TIME for those of you traveling from other areas.

Well since this is now 2 days away we should probably get a rough head count so we know how many to wait for at Wild Wings. The meet point will be Wild Wings Cafe in Alpharetta and we will be leaving there at 7am. It's right off Exit 11 on 400. It looks like a 2 hour drive to get to the event (maybe throw in a pit stop for gas and food?). I attached the possible mountain run map to this post again as well. Has anyone done that run before, if so probably best that you lead it. If you need to reach me my number is 6787278222. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Enzo
I will be meeting you guys at Wild Wings Saturday morning. Rulevoid will be driving with us as well. Looking forward to it!
I'm still on the fence. I was going to head up tomorrow and stay a couple nights, watch the races Saturday and hike Sunday, but with the forecasted rain, I don't know if I want to make the trip.
I'll be coming from Woodstock, so I'll do my best to make sure my wife wakes up on time so we can meet you all. Here's to hoping for all green lights on 92!
Haha I'm in the same boat I will have a crabby wife until she has her coffee Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I'll actually be bringing not only my wife but my dad as well. I told him we'd go to this event for his Father's Day present. :wiggle:
We decided to go. heading out tonight. If you see a gray vw golf with pink wheels on one side and purple on the other... that's us. Wife has to drive through the mountains bc of motion sickness so we are taking her car. I'd post my number... but know I won't have service.
Yeah I wanted to try and bring mine but he had to fly back home. Pretty pumped about the event. Already packed the car Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Cool. My cell is 850-982-7150. An STi will be following me over, see you guys bright and early! Bring a walkie talkie if you have them.
Y'all have fun, can't make it. I gotta couple friends going with mustangs. No TT lambo or vette, but look for a blue 98 supercharged mustang cobra
Will you guys be passing the Buford/cumming exit on 400? If so I think I can ride with the group if you guys make a pitstop to wait for me or give me a call before u guys pass the exit and I'll just hop on and catch up to you guys! Whoever is setting this up hmu 706-680-3837
^ I'm located near the shell station on 400 near the Cumming / Dawsonville boarder (jot-em-down rd). Let me know as well 770-906-8288
For those who are not on the WRXATL Facebook Page, here's a video of digitizedsoul's STi hitting a 147mph 1/2 mile today. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZibioUt5ppE
Had a great time today! Saw a couple of other 2015 STis up there in addition to mine - anyone from here? Wound up getting a couple runs in with a best of 122. Not too shabby for all stock . Video coming soon.
I left right before it ended and there were still cars making runs but I believe Prestige Auto had the fastest @ 215 in one of their Gallardos followed by one of our customers in his GT-R @ 202
Yeh 214.9 I think was the best by prestige in Dustin's lambo. Brian of course 0wning everything else with his 202, what a nissan man...
Prestige actually has two of their own Gallardos. I didn't see Dustin's car run at all today, unfortunately. I know his car went 219 yesterday though.
Dustins car and the r8 were loaded and shipped to Texas for TI next weekend I ended up running 2 passes and managed a 148.8, unfortunately my clutch disc flipped me the bird this afternoon. I am 99% sure I had a 150-151 in it.
Wow apparently Michael Kelly was mid 150's both days in his CTS-V sedan, and someone with a really nasty charger was in the 160's. I wasn't even close! haha! Oh well, trophies are for little league games lol I drove mine there and back, no trailer queen
Does anyone have footage of my first run? Against the red porsche? I can't find it on youtube I guess no one was filming yet. I was 3rd in line at the start of the day so maybe not. Bummer though, I really wanted a "porsche kill" video as part of my compilation heh.
Michael Kelly daily's that CTS-V too. I'll have my DD down in FL in January. It will have just a little bit more power than it does now though. One of the Vengeance Racing Vettes drove over 6 hours there and back on drag radials and ran over 200mph. That is pretty nuts.
He ramps the boost, so 1st, 2nd and 3rd are progressively more, 4th and 5th he opens the boost up to 25+psi You can tell too LOL
