After 5 years of driving a Camry and a V70 I am finally back in an WRX. It's something that I have thought about everyday since I sold my 04 STI, and I am still having a hard time believing the wait is over. I went to Stivers in Decatur to look for a WRX today, but all they had was an automatic. They did have two STIs so I comprimised and ended up buying an STI instead. I am looking forward to getting back into the subie community.

    welcome back.

I was in your shoes not too long ago. For me it was a three year wait.

Hey Ped, good to see you're still around. The pictures I keep uploading are upside down, I am going to take some new ones today and post them. I think they said the color is Ice Grey or something. It feels more refined and comfortable than I remember my 04 STi being, but at age 33 this suits me well. I am going to install some mudflaps and get the windows tinted first of all. I am pretty happy with the exhaust sound from the factory, so I'll probably wait a while to do any major modifications.

Nice. I just can't stand the position of the side mirrors on the new STi. Looks so odd and out of place. Just me, tho. Other than that, beautiful car.

I hadn't noticed until you pointed that out. It is weird, but it does reduce the blind spot by adding the small window in that area.

it also has significant aerodynamic reasons behind it

Haha, the same things were said about the former mirror location at the intersection of the door and window frame, and the similar variations of mirrors in that location with aero slots in that location..........;)
