    Hey guys. Been awhile.
Wanted to ask you guys if it was possible for an aftermarket radio (JVC) to be leaking power, causing the battery to drain in a matter of a day or 2.
The head unit worked okay, but very inconsistent when I bought the IS.
Whining noise in the background while the radio worked, whining up and down with the accelerator.
That was almost a year ago and now the head unit doesn't play audio at all. It turns on but that's it.
I have the IS at the shop, they replaced the alternator and battery, and yet it still dies quickly.
I've even taken it out with the radio completely off to see if I can charge the battery up but to no avail.

Want to know if I need to take it to a car audio shop to replace/repair the head unit.
    Thanks!

This seems highly unlikely, but shouldn't be hard to check. The whole radio & head unit should be on a separate fuse. Find that fuse & pull it, which will completely cut the circuit to the radio. If you can charge the car after that, then maybe the radio is the culprit.
