new wing

    I installed a wrx wing onto mty turnk last night.... i'm at work right now i will post pictures later once i get home ... went pretty smoothly got a few imperfections but they are all covered by the wing....

    only one problem... led dont work....:(

    Hmm, were you able to splice the wiring in? Im sure we can work it out though. Worst case, you could always tap into the wiring of one of the back-up lights in one of tail lights. That way when those bulbs are seeing current, the LED should light up as well.

    mine came with a supporting cable that ran through the wing and bolted inside the trunk... gives it additional support... did u run one of those?

    Yes, the wing had everything (he bought the wing from me). It came straight off an 02/03, and had both tensioners, 4 bolts and the wiring for the LED.

    There should be a spare pigtail harness in the trunk for the led bar! I traded trunks a long time ago with a guy on this forum. I believe he found the connector for it in his trunk, they should all have it i believe. Its a 2-pin connector that is black in color, and it should be located somewhere behind the right side trunk panel. If you have the service manual its on page 149 in the wiring section. hope this helps!

    You can do it Chip!

    To attach images to your post, select "Manage Attachments" and upload your images (up to 4 at a time). There is a file limit of 100kb though.

    now to figure out this light problem.... the wire going into the bca of the leds has power.. but they dont light up... but there is no plug in the back of the led housing it is hard wired... if i buy a new one from SoG does it come wired withe a plug on the end....
