what were some materials you had or wish you had during the install. plan on doing this at milos place and wantto make sure i bring everything i ll need. according to this link i will need 9 female disconnects 1 male disconnect 4 ring terminals black 14 gauge wire fuse holder 20 amp fuse heat shrink electrical tape lighter (for heat shrink) wire cutter/stripper/crimper 4 washers 2 bolts and 2 nuts (unsure of size) and a tube of dielectric grease. Where can i purchase most of these items? i ve got the tape and lighter already but this other stuff im guessing home depot huh? Any tips would also be great. TIA! Shawn
I have crimps I'll bring , you don't need shrink unless you want it. All I did was wrap e-tape around all my connections.
yeah probably wont do the whole heat shrink. just clueless about the whole wiring procedure. i also read brianGT's write on iwsti which seemed to be a lot less complicated. maybe he ll chime in for some advice. anyone else install these..
Well if you do need any help , I worked at a audio shop (BALLISTIC AUDIO) here in town , and got the whole wiring thing down pat.
you can use the stock wiring that will come off the stock horns. Might need a little wiring for extension depending on where you want them mounted. There will be several of us there for the install day that have done this. I'm certainly happy with mine. Honk, honk bitches!!
haha cool. i thought there wasnt enough power gettin to the horns with the stock wiring. anywho just want to make sure i bring all the necessary materials. see ya saturday!
Just follow my method. Same setup works in Stephen's car also.
