plans for thursday (3/3)?

options are

1) andretti: depends on whether the track is booked or not. will find out tomorrow.

2) northpoint + taco mac as usual

3) gt4 at someones pad... my brother has early classes on friday so i can't offer my place on thursdays... also this friday, i need to go celebrate a friend's birthday... but we could plan a gt4 lan party at my place on friday (3/11)... more details to come if there's enough interest... would anyone wanna host a gt4 party this week?

what would everyone like to do?

 

We're going to be doing some extensive testing on the dyno and corner-balancing and aligning Javid's car (maybe, if it's out of the shop)...

 

Work that night. I'll be up for whatever afterwards.

Maybe swing by SoG during the afternoon to watch them work on my car as well as Scott tuning and corner weighting.

 

We could do a GT4 G2G at my house tomorrow, only problem is I only have 2 TV's and my apartment is not set up for LAN. Let me know what you guys want to do.

what do we need to connect 2 PS2s... would a crossover cable work or do we need a router?

 

Not sure, I would think it would be the same as with your Xboxs, but with the PS2 I think you have to have network adapters to connect the cables. I have a network adapter on mine, not sure about everybody else.

 

well... one ps2 wouldn't be bad... but definitely 2 ps2s would be better... lets see what we can work out

 

I played GT4 first time today at Fry's for 30 min. LOL~ I had to kill some time. Graphic is a lot better than I expected and got spun out little more than i used to. Havent played for awhile. Newayzz... I really wanna play with you guys, but depends when i say good bye with my gf. lol

I get off work at 9. Shoukd be home by 9:20. Anytime you guys want to come over is fine. I only have 1 PS2 Controller, so if somebody can bring a second controller that would be great.

 

I've got another controller I can bring when I get over there.

I'm trying to talk my friend into bringing his PS2 and steering wheel.

I just ordered the Steering Wheel. FedEX said it should delivered today by 3. I am running home on my lunch break to check and see if it came. I just wasn't expecting it to be delivered until tomorrow.

As for bringing another PS2, not sure how that will work with my apartment. I am not set up for a LAN. I don't think I have any cables long enough to connect my living room to my bedroom.

 

I'm sure we can figure something out.

 

We can try. That would be awesome if we can get it working. If not we will have to deal with just one TV and console, and switch off with the controllers.

 

Start a new thread with about needing a controller or something of that sort.

 

What do we need though. Ethernet cable that is 20 foot long, I don't know.

Unfortunately guys, I've come down with a cold and feal like total ass...I was geeked about playing GT4 with the fellaz and had intended on bringing a PS2, controller, game, whatevers needed.

my friend is going to come and he can bring his PS2, GT4, steering wheel and extra controllers between him and I.

I can bring some network cable too, I've got a 25 ft one hooking my computer up to the internet here.

I believe you can take pleasant hill rd. all the way to 400. Pleasant hill rd will change names to St. Bridge road (not positive). But none the less just stay on that road and you will hit 400. Then take 400S and get off at the very next exit. I believe they meet at the Fuddruckers.

I drove over last night after practice got there around 10:50. By the directions I thought you all were meeting at Jason's house. Didn't know what apartment # was his so I knocked on a couple doors. No luck. I think everyone thought I was some crazy guy wondering around.

sorry for not making it out last thursday. i had to go down to Mississippi for family reasons. i didn't even have a dang computer down there so i was having withdraws.lol well i'm outta here this wednesday back to guam. i'll see you all when i get back. however, i'll still be on the forums when i get back.
