My name is Alex; I've been involved with the Subaru community since late 01, earlier 02. It began first by just browsing NASIOC way back when, reading information, and awaiting the arrival of the 02's to the country. I was tempted to buy a 02 but by that time, the STis were rumored to come. I was not entirely sure if it would ever become a reality or not but I thought I would wait it out and see. Eventually, Subaru broke down and sent them over I had been reading on and off the original IWSTi boards in early 03 and finally ended up getting mine when they finally hit dealerships (officially signed up on ITSTi then). In May of ’04 my car was backed into by a suburban, did some serious front end damage unfortunately. In my search for parts to replace the OEM ones, I had my first encounter with King of Imports. He helped me sift through a lot of the JDM parts that were hard to come by and figure out what we could work with based on the damages to the car. From then on, Kevin and I became acquaintances, constantly talking Subaru and working on the future of KOI, from new designs to new inventory. I was pleased when he told me about the idea of purchasing IWSTi. I had no idea how serious he was about it. I was glad to see such a great wealth of knowledge go into his and Ben’s hands. From here, this knowledge filters down and aided in constantly improving the WRXatlanta we know and love today. So what is this WRXatlanta? I realized that there was a growing community for Subaru owners here in my very city, Atlanta, and that the south east representation on the big name forums was, well...just lacking. I do not really remember what truly made me put things into motion, but at some point in 03 I decided I wanted to change the SE situation. I thought I'd try this out and see how it went, to get the Georgia guys together on a single board that allowed all of us to more effectively organize ourselves, arrange events, talk shop and just have fun. I wanted to bring all the knowledge, all the help and all the talk from the bigger forums without all the negative aspects that tend to develop in online communities. With the help of a few very helpful friends (and members), this dream has become a reality (Milo, Alex, etc). To my surprise, after a year of non-stop PM's, IM's, posts, and talking with owners on the street, the site finally picked up. One and a half years later, and the site is running strong with almost 400 members, most of which came from the larger sites. It is one of the friendliest environments I've involved myself in. Not to mention, one of the most active as well--monthly install days & dyno days, weekly dinner and or trivia and or drinkin', and so much more. I want to thank everyone here for being always informative, friendly, talkative and enjoyable. Please, do not be a stranger, stop by any of our get to gethers and say 'ello. Pictures and mods up in just a sec. Cheers,

So Ive been thinking what I want to do with the car, and I am starting to become much more serious on the spec c schwag. I would love to score a full interior, there is one for sale on nasioc right now ($1900). Unfortunately, that is a big pricey for my taste at the moment. However, I thought if anything, I would focus a bit on power and track experience. Hopefully, I can pick up a set of TR mirrors soon as well. Anyways, just thought I would write an update. As of tonight, I am convinced upon getting the AP (within the next week), protuner (whenever my schedule and siegels works out), datalogging and a wideband. I would like the ability to keep 100% tabs on the car when I want to and not have to wait when something goes wrong to limp back to SS without know what's going on. Not sure if anyone has caught the TR thread or not, but if you have not here is the photoshop I posted. I am moving on to a new scheme of colors (if the mirrors come through). I see a vlimited in the near future along with a nice powdercoating on the wheels. vs Thats it for now, as always, more to come alex
Vinly is nearing completetion, I feel so ricey They are all the metallic silver. Similar to the 04 AWD logo and the older WRXatl decals. The new and improved WRXatlanta banner will be on there as well! I do appologze, the car is filthy with pollen right now. It will be detailed tomorrow, never fear!
you guys had another banner done?....can't wait to see it!!!...the new vinyl looks really sweet!!! I wish I could make it to the GT car show but I have to work....won't be able to make it to a g2g for probably another month:wtc: ...I'll just live vicariously through the pics, so take some......please, ya ricer:keke:
Nah Delette, you have gold decals, they're heavy It all should be done tomorrow and nice and clean!!!
Alrighty, a few updates. Vinyl should be back off the car soon, I've re-eqd the audio in the car (sounds excellent), and Siegel has been kind enough to act on our behalf as a delegate to Cobb. Hold on to your hats, AP and some tuning should be instore soon Also, here are a few pics from the GT autoshow:
Yeah its $120/hr and he is VERY VERY reasonable with his prices. Once you feel how smooth the car is after the tune you will realize it.
Who did you order through, if you don't mind me asking. I will hopefully be in the market soon myself....
PM'd Ya! Also, I am considering doing this once summer kicks in (s202 interior trim), thoughts? Another interior done s202'd, ppg paints used; black and 3 coats of matte finish clear..... For those who are unaware, this is the same thing that we're doing now on the 05+ interior for the "s203" look.
Also, once a bit of free time rolls in, I would like to de-pillar the grille and get a little bit of tint. The idea is, once again, just in time for summer.
i likes....i really like the hole in the fender. I wonder if i could do that to the bug eye.....probaly wouldnt look right.
any luck on finding a spec-c steering rack? i'm looking around myself. i've been thinking of blacking the trim as well, i was wondering if there was some kind of rubber/grippy (ala VW interior) rattle can stuff out there.
be prepared to spend like 500-100 for a spec c rack, you might as well go after market, those are still not cheap though.
I dont think the steering rack would work. Cause the spec C is RHD. I could be wrong but i remember reading that somewhere.
(not to threadjack but) i was originally looking at the C column, but was told by the guy at boxer4 that i wanted the rack, which yes, would pose a LHD/RHD problem. i may just go with my original plan of the quicksteer... if i can find that guy's info again(i saved it somewhere).</threadjack>
I cannot remember for the life of me who took over Crucial's plans, send a PM to either SkullWRX or JT. They may know. VW interior?
