    Nice.

But I just want to point out that the Evo only ever wins a shootout by a small margin. One which is easily made up for with tuning. I mean Subaru wanted our rides to be a little more compliant and quiet whereas Mitsu basically just fawk it, we'll make the Evo a bone jarring experience. Give an STI (or well tuned WRX) better suspension and it'll hang with the front drive biased Evo all day.

If subaru keep the same springs on the STi for the US market the suspension would be on par with the evo. But the stock STi springs are kinda crappy. What the evo has that the STi is completely lacking is the "go-kart" steering.

Same here true but i tell ya the according to road and track and car and Driver magazines: any time they put the STI up against an EVO the STI WON so subaru is better! let alone you can drop the clutch in a suby and not in an EVO! But yes both cars are very competive and equal in almost all areas, I like em both and everyone knows that it all comes down to Who's driving the CAR! :naughty:

Where did you get that. Most of the Articles I have read the Evo Won. Still Subaru's are better. Lets face it, who wants to drive an American Car anyways.

Also, dropping the clutch in a Subaru is a sure fire way to kill your Tranny, especially in a WRX. STI's can take a little more of a beating, but you still don't want to drop the clutch. There is an Art to Launching an AWD Subaru.

Yeah that's what I was getting at.

Most comparro's say the Evo is tad or smidgen better at this and that but most of those things can be corrected with upgrades.

Yeah, dropping the clutch is bad juju..... Maybe he was talking about the launch control that the Evo supposedly has? Something about not being able to rev past a certain rpm from a stop......

ya go kart steering, but steering radius of a dead hamster, you have to make compromises somewhere
