Have a 03 WRX Wagon no cats, AP stage2, pulley, short ram, turbo inlet, and last night it max the stock boost gague at .15mpa the live boost reading was 18.3 on AP. The people I have talked too say they do not know what is wrong or that the turbo runs great before she blows up. Just wanted to see what you guys think. I normaly hit max boost at .10mpa or just a little more. Any information would be greatly welcome.

    Thanks Brian:sx:

Might have a boost leak in the vaccum lines that go from Your turbo housing to the waste gate, Any one agree? Moose,Milo?

See i have had that happen. I had a small hole in one of the two lines and my car was over boosting. Won't hurt to check it out UBAR.

    Yeah, check that out first.

Also, short ram and AP Stage 2? Cobb strongly recommends against doing that.

Could this be boost creep from the wastegate not actuating properly? What type of dp do you have? I've heard the divorced wastegate pipes are better for preventing creep.

can be very small, take the hose and bend it to see if there is any cracks or holes, by bending it it should stretch out the hole or crack if there is any.

And goose, Is the TMIC hitting those lines as we'll because if so it may have cut a hole in it also.

from what i hear divorced wastegate DPs are usually worse as far as creeping issues go.

I'll check it out, thanks. It's kind of scary; so I'm trying not to let it over boost too much.

mine has spiked to 17.7psi after the hyperflow... i would expect a slight increase in boost due to the lower pressure drop

the adaptive ECU can only do so much... if it didn't adapt, the boost would probably be much higher

We tought the stock gauge was off b/c the AP reads from the computer so I do not know when I get home I will check the hoses to the watsegate to make sure there is no holes if not my freind has another boost gauge and maybe hook that up to see what it reads. I will let you guys know what I find out.

    Thanks Brian

I'd trust the AP readings over the stock gauge. :)

18.3 with stage 2? i believe that its only supposed to run 16.5+/- on stage 2 unless you're pro-tuned.

no I believe the AP boost tune once reflashed with it if i'm not mistaken it should be 15.8 and rev limit pushed to 7200rpm's.

    PROBLEM DIAGNOSED!
my top mount crushed one of the lines that t off to the actuator. I tried to repair it with my trusty electrical tape but only caused another tear....woops. Oh well, good excuse to buy some silicon lines now
