I have an extra ticket if someone's looking for one. Borders works for me, and as posted above, RA is simple to get to from the Mall of Georgia.
I have a feeling your camera is going to completely kill mine for nice shots. But I'll be there with one and try anyway
true, but you got the significantly better zoom. Guess if I wanted to spend my money on a nice camera I could have one up here with yours. but this one's free to use, so Shame film isn't used much anymore, got a good film one
Unfortunately, I dont think Ill be able to make it. I was so caught up with school, I couldnt really orchestrate what I needed to with this.
Rain? That's right the weathers all crazy up there. Borders would be nice if we can meet you guys there, but if not, I'm sure we can find our way. It's just nice to roll with the group.
I can't hang out with you guys there, since I'm RWD just kidding I don't know if I will be going, I kinda want to bring the 240, but no emissions = no plate = no fun for me and that is a lot of distance to cover without coming across at least one nosey pig. If I go I'll try to find ya is there a carpool?
so what time does the drifting start?....couldn't find info online...just trying to gauge a good time to meet-up at mall of Georgia..
As for the meet time, I'm kinda hoping bluetwo will chime in an provide an approximate time they think they'll be here. We can try to meet up around that same time. I've got my whole day cleared out to spend out there. Looking at the website, it looks like there's a dayful of stuff planned, including some racing (around the full course).
Ah, actually Hazzard can't make it now. :wtc: So I'm just gonna head up Friday afternoon and I can be there whenever. I guess if we wanna get there and get a decent spot we'd want to get going a little early. That's assuming we want to set up a sun shade shelter and folding chairs n' stuff. I wonder if we can take a cooler? I'd be down for bringing some sodas and water. I'm sure we can still be as mobile as we'd like and keep a little shady spot at the same time because we'll probably want to check out different things and chicks and stuff.
Most likely, I am sure JT will want to meet at my place so he doesn't have to drive the Gas Guzzling Lanche, then we can head out to Mall of Georgia. I will PM you my number and we can figure everything out.
Just to let you guys know Gates open at 10am and close at 10pm. Drifting starts at 3pm and then runs into the night. Not going to be continuous, there will be a break inbetween. If you get there earlyish then you can wander around the pit I'll probably arrive around 1
sorry, its just a Fuji film(but not film) digi thing. Think its 5mp, but its small so very limited zoom. It's actually a school camera, that I borrow so...can't complain. We sort of made the mistake of getting a nice film camera right as the DSLR's started to really hit the market.
I'll be there on saturday w/ my northpoint crew, maybe i'll see some of ya down there but seeing i dont know what any of you look like that may be hard
Yeah. I just got to Atlanta, lucky for me traffic wasn't bad yet. But I think this is gonna be fun. I don't really know some of you that well but it should be fun anyway.
I'll be there on Saturday. I look forward to meeting you guys. The only time I've been to a WRXAtlanta meet was a Topspeed Dyno day and I was late.
We'll be looking for the Aspen white ride then. You ought to meet us at Borders if you wanna cruise up there with us. (10:30)
I guess I won't make the cruise since it's 1130. I live off of Hwy. 53 in Barrow County so meeting at Borders wouldn't have been on the way.
I saw a bunch of you guys down there parked together but was tenative to say anything b/c i dont know any of ya'll but some nice lookin subies 4 sure saw 2 silver and 2 blue parked together as i was leaving
Was at taco mac tonight and talked to some crews fromt he drift event. Cool guys and i wish i had made it this year.
We did that ish right too. We had folding chiars for pretty much everybody and a shade tent, that was also nice for the little showers we got, and the view we had was hard to beat. Although we couldn't see the big screen very well for the Fast and the Furious previews... such a shame.... :sarcasm: J Suby. If you saw two dark blue shelters on the parking lot side, that was us in one of em'. And yeah that line of Subys was ours. Too bad we didn't hook up, but maybe another time.
LoL my group also had a blue tent on the parking lot side bout 5 or 6 of us under the tent we were on the hill kinda w/ the back poles short and front ones long
Formula Drift was fun, was nice meeting some of you guys out there, Left during the Tandem Drift thing, anyone know who won? Jay 02 PSM wrx
I think it was Hubinette in the SRT Viper. All the muscle cars looked good though, not saying the smaller ones didn't, but you can really tell what the extra power does for speed and control. That Infinity with the Titan motor was crazy. :eek3: Props to all of em' though.
No it was Foust in the 350z. I actually walked over to were you guys were as i followed the cars to where I assumed you'd be. But there were several blue tents, so I didn't really feel like walking around asking. In comparison I was standing to your right up on the hill to the left of the platform. Was actually a pretty good view. I parked next to someone with a bugeye that had carbon fiber side markers. Was that you J suby?
here are some more pictures from yeasterday http://www.subytuner.com/gallery/main.php?g2_view=core.ShowItem&g2_itemId=644
it was tanner in the 350z the sammie in the viper and the rockstar car was third and i parked next to a ae86 corolla primered w/ red wheels good friend of mine so if u were parked next to me and that one then ya it was me
