I saw you (I'm assuming) leaving SoG just before 1:00...... black bugeye wagon, very cool exhaust, what is it? I was in the patrol car behind you going down Satellite
Nah, kinda verboten to pull folks over just to chat, even if it's folks you know...... I have stopped at gas stations and parking lots to talk, and that's fun cuz it freaks people out....
Haha, yeah i kinda figured . Kinda like some of the cops that came through the Varsity last time haha. I talked to them for a minute and they said they were just checkin out the cars .
Really? It didn't look like it, but then again I never got close enough to get a real good look...... sounded good though, very deep and raspy....
Good luck with that...... I've got a couple of friends that I work with that were MP's..... one was in the Army and loved it, the other was a Marine and absolutely hated it..... he's kinda special though.....
thanks for not pulling me over. i was going home for lunch. as you already know from milo is the Blitz nur spec-r. it's louder than normal because i'm running a catless down-pipe (once again thank you for not pulling me over) but i love the way it sounds. if you have any more questions or want to hear it close up just stop by sog some time. i'm there from 7am-6pm. later
You know, a lot of Marines are! (joking btw) It's funny you should say that though. Most people tell me that many police departments would rather hire a regular joe than a prior service MP or whatever the Air Force calls thier guys just because the techniques and stuff differ so much.
blue two, just wanted to let you know that ft lost in the woods sucks! so might dislike it. I was there back in 96 when I was training in the military so Have fun hehe. :wtc: And this is for Blueline, I wish savannah PD was as cool as you they are all pretty harsh on us Suby guys! :bigthumb:
No problem..... I was actually on my way to lunch as well..... grab a bite to eat before my shift starts..... That's a nice exhaust though...... I've wanted to hear Milo's (especially now that he's got his new ride), but I've not gotten the chance so far......
Thanks for the warning. I'm only going to be there for about two and half months so, hopefully it won't suck too much. It's already going to be hectic cramming all that info, taking classes and staying in good shape and form.
shoot me a PM... we could set up a time to meet... maybe i could race u in ur squad car :sx: ps: please dont arrest me hnoes:
Lol, I could jump on a bicycle and outrun that patrol car, those things get ragged out....... I have to work pretty hard to get somewhere in a hurry..... I'll PM you in a few days, see what we can work out....
ha ha that patrol car sure acts like a little turtle lol .. btw i'm enjoying ur knob and the little apr steel thingy... over all milo's car sounds so sexy u need to hear that
My good friend Larry is a retired DCPD cop and he has a really nice 04 white STi. His numbers from the dyno are on the TopSpeed forums. I knew a lot of SP's and LE's while I was in the AF for 11 years and have some good friends that were MP's and such. It is amazing how many folks you can meet in the military with cool jobs and also when I was in the National Guard I met some really cool people that worked on the SR-71. It was really cool being stationed at Hurlburt Field,FL. because we would have Navy Seals and Army SF, plus Marine Force Recon come into the Dental Clinic and the Med Clinic for appt's and we would talk about some of the cool stuff that they do on a daily basis.... Mark AF used to call their cops LE's or SP's, now it is Security Forces, and they really train hard. Mark
Hey bluelinescooby, is your area getting those new Chargers or Mustang GT cop cars yet? Those look extremely bad-ass.... Are the current cop cars just a car with cop equipment or do they have any engine mods?
^^^^   :hahano: :dirty: Nah, Doraville PD has a few Mustang GT's, and GSP is supposedly getting a bunch of Chargers..... but one of their performance criteria was time from 0-100 mph, and no other police packaged vehicle is gonna make that sprint in any acceptable time. How the vehicles are equipped depends on the size, budget, and needs of the department. Big power and RWD works out fine for state patrol cuz they need a big car that is stable and fast for interstate work. Around town, especially in Metro Atlanta traffic, a big V8 isn't cost effective cuz you can't get anywhere fast due to said traffic, and a V8 is gonna suck down more fuel with city driving. So V6 and FWD it is! :wtc: Most departments opt for vehicles with a factory police package, cuz they can buy them in bulk and get a nice discount, and they all come with a warranty. So, that means no engine mods to make more power. Most police packages consist of an upgraded cooling system, electrical system, brakes, and suspension. My car (and many others in my dept) has cross-drilled and slotted brake rotors! (Because of brake cooling issues with a heavy, FWD car..... Does it work? Who knows.....) I believe we're gonna stick with the Impalas for '06 as there isn't much else available right now.
You need to start petitioning your captain for some WRX Squad cars for 08. Be the coolest police department in the country then.
I'd become a Police Officer if that happened. Check it out: http://www.carpages.co.uk/subaru/subaru-police-cars-28-10-05.asp http://www.askaprice.com/torque-article.asp?article=Subaru_goes_for_police_market&item=602
