Hy guys, my wrx got rear ended in the parking lot behind my apartments today. Luckily the girl that hit my car with her big suv left me her insurance information and phone number. I called the cops and got a report. I need to go to a body shop to get an estimate on the damages. Do you guys think that I should go to Subaru of Gwinnett or should i go to a regular body shop? The damage isn't that great (bent bumper, beam, broken tailight) and her insurance is going to cover it. I would think that SOG would do a better job at fixing it since they're the dealer.
The funny part is that I park my Subie in the rear parking lot far from any other cars just so that stuff like this doesn't happen.

Yeah Sanders is a cool cat. The last time I talked to him I got the impression they are pretty busy there but I'm sure they can get you in.

Any photos of the damage, for curiosity's sake of course. Good luck with the repairs!

I contacted Scott and he was very helpful. It's nothing major. It's just the rear bumper's out of action, the tailight is broken, the rear quarter panel was pushed inside and the trunk is a little twisted. Should be back as new when they finish with it.

Update: The other person's insurance gave me an estimate that's much lower than the one i got at gwinett body shop. I'll probably have to take the car to hendrick collision or gwinnett collision.

Well I finally got my subaru back today after 2 weeks spent at hendrick collision. It looks fine but I wouldn't recommend this body shop to anyone. Communication with the shop was very poor, the bumper had fitting issues and there was overspray on my exhaust and license plate. They had gotten the wrong type of bumper initially (for 2002!?!) and it was a bad experience overall. I'm just happy i got my rex back.

I agree. They had my car for three full months and it came back with a lot of scratches. Instead of appraising my car as an Evo they appriased it as an OZ Rally, so my car should have been totalled. I think I saw you there this past Friday; I was in the silver Evo.
