meet this saturday at 7pm, media play, just like normal. Thebig meet will be the following weekend on friday at 6pm-7pm, i plan on everybody getting together to go see fast and the furious tokyo drift together, and then on sunday there is an autocros event at hutcheson island, and i'd like everybody who can come to show up and run their cars, or just show up and hang and watch. let me know.,....

I would watch it and i don't care what any one thinks I like the cars and the fact that a movie or movies have been made to promote a lifestyle that I have enjoyed for the last six years. No one else has attempted to make movies about what we all enjoy doing!:squint:
I'm not saying that they shouldn't make a movie about what you enjoy, but at least they could make it a good movie. get a decent plot and some good actors for a start. This will be on par with all of the other grade b movies targeted towards the adolescent male; it'll be all about the violence, sex and, most likely, drugs. I could go on and on but it wouldn't change anything...
It was a good meet last night. I'm glad I got to make it out. I'm going to try to get out to the next one, next Friday and the movie is probably doable, but I gotta go see the old man Sunday for sure.
For those of us that are goin to see the movie, might want to discuss what show we want to see so the some of us that go could go ahead and get tickets early thta day.
or if we all decide upon the show, we can get our tickets on fandango.com, this way we don't have to worry about people owing each other money

umm...neither. We are talking about the media play in savannah. i think that there is a f&f gathering in atl also...most of us down here can't make it up though.
I am gonna have to disagree, i was in the sceen before thoses movies came out, and it was way better then it is now, i belive that movie ruined the sceen!!! i wish those movies never came out.
Well the only real reason why the sceen was ruined alittle is because of all the little high school ricers putting pepboys shit on there cars and racing all up and down abercorn. personally i have been modifying cars and putting them in shows since about 1999, so i have been doing it for a while. it isn't the movies fault these movies though have some of the best looking imports that i have seen.
I definitely like the high-powered cars, and the fact that the pro drivers from Formula D did all the drifting in the movie, but I have to admit Hollywood has absolutely no clue. That said I also think that we could use a lot more movies that are actually about cars and that have all the high octane, perfomance driven badass stuff that we like. Sadly the Fast and the Furious seems to be the only major franchise able to make high quality films. Not to knock the Street Fury type of videos because those are definitely on the right track.
Anywho, for anybody who doesn't already come to our meets, call me(David) at 912-844-4285 and I'll let you know when anything goes down in the area.
it's not slang, everyone needs to let this whole thing cool down, and please stop posting negative comments, we only chat on here to keep each other in the loop on what's going on in savannah for all the members. So i ask nicely, if you don't have something positive to bring to the table, then just don't come. Sorry to the moderators who regulate, I just hate seein these guys bicker on here, cuz then they avoid each other at the meets, i can tell, and it all needs to be about having a good time and being friends. On that note, whoever would like to come to the movie if you want to see it, let me know.

i will search thursday for the movie times on fandango and then text everyone what time and theater to buy their tickets at. i hope that works for everyone.

are we going to get some grub before the movie? if so, 8:05 might not give all of us enough time to eat just a thought edit: especially on a friday night down here and us trying to sit a group like we usually do...
we'd have to go to a late one if we get food, and also have to be at the theater early enough to grab enough seats
well, a 9:35 movie probably will fill up quick, so we should get there maybe 45min-1hr before showtime so we can ensure we will get seats...We could have a normal meet at 7:00 in the parking lot right across from the theater, hang out, and then across the street come showtime, anyone up for that? :beer:
