Install Day: July 8th (hosted by calmnothing)

Is there going to be any caravans?

 

Is anyone going to be removing their pillar on their grill at the install day ? ('05 sti) Can I borrow someone's tools and maybe expertise to do this (on top of my already long list of stuff )? What type of paint matches best with what's on the grill already?

 

There is very little shade in the lot so if you have a tent I suggest bring it.

Ayrton we might be there around 7. Last install day we were there till 8-ish i think.

 

I will swing by on the way home and see whats up.

Maybe Alex can bring my shirts.....

Well I can still come, but I won’t have my car. It appears that I Might need a short block. Something went pop yesterday.

 

No its not. The engine is locked up.

Yeah I'm sorry to hear about that Jason. WJM probably has a few shortblocks for sale if you need one soon and cheap.

 

Hmmm seems like few people are installing/uninstalling springs. It will be alot easier if I brought the impact so we don't have to use the spring compressor. If anyone has a truck or a wagon (this is where it comes handy huh? lol) I'm more than willing to bring it. My car will be filled up with exhaust and downpipe for Fareed!

 

I'm somewhat sure i can come now, but it seems i might leave early or something.

Anyways i can bring a cooler, 3 jars of dip, and if needed some car stand things..and a air pump/compressor if needed.

 

I have a wagon Mike, can I help you with bringing supplies?.

I believe WJM is a member here that works for SOG.

I guess I won't need help with a wagon anymore since there's no power source so air compressor will be useless hehe. Thanks for volunteering

WJM is will at SOG. Real nice guy. Should be in at SOG on friday too (the 7th) doing a 2.5 engine install in an 02.

I'm assuming we'll only have calmnothing's floor jack if he has one, so if you have room to bring one that would probably be a great idea! I'm going to bring my rhino ramps, and hopefully alex is in town and can bring my jack stands with him (I left them at the last install day because I had to leave early).

i would like to caravan, i'll be at my aunt's house fri night on 85 north exit 111, is that close to where yall are wanting to meet for the caravan? and i'm am drivin up from memphis through birmingham. i will be in atl all weekend, prob leave sun afternoon, cant wait to put on my crank pulley

i decided to go ahead with my spring install so i could do the up tommorow but now i have three wasted bolts and my car is still on the stands. so no install day for me unless i finish this up today and get a ride to sog for new eccentric bolts

Well, I'm picking my car up today from the body shop! I will most likely make the install with my buddy Matt.......I'm not installing anything, just coming to meet some people and get some knowledge

IF U COMMING FROM SOUTH IT'S ON RIGHT SIDE IF COMMING FROM NORTH IT'S ON LEFT SIDE IT'S THE FIRST BP U WILL SEE...

 

Sure is, there's an exit off of th 85 called Pleasant Hill Road... All you have to do is get off there and take a right if you're heading southbound on the 85, or a left if you're heading Northbound (I think from your earlier posts you are at exit 111, which means you will head southbound and take a right off the exit).

In easier terms, get off at Pleasant Hill Road exit and head West.

Then, just look for a BP :wavey: .
