Anyone know someone with experience in EM by Perfect Power?

All I've heard about it is that it's a piggyback with fewer options and tuneability than others.

Only two well advertised shops use it. One with a notoriously bad rep (Xcelleration)and one with an excellent rep (Rallitek). Not the best way to get a cross section...

anyways, I may have a connection to get one, buteveryone who uses either shop is up north...

I may, no guarantees, but it would be thru Xcelleration. But there's so much negativity on them that goes unanswered, its made me wary of trusting them with my car...

Lots of people use them....but there are better options out there for the money...ones with more adjustability and easier tuning.....more shops would be able to use a Greddy or Unichip piggyback than a perfectpower

i'm kind of a novice when it comes to EM. I'm still poking around and reading old threads, but could you give me an idea why one piggy back is better than another? When I go directly to PP's website, they're really trumpeting recent improvements in their piggy backs...

Well I know that certain models of the PP don't tune bigger injectors, they have smaller fuel maps, and they're harder to tune since few people use them.

hmm, the pp6 is the one I may be getting, it says on the website 128 sites for fuel. What do others have? I went to GReddy and they dont explicitly state...

I believe that other piggybacks can do 256/256 for fuel. Perfect power also can't tune bigger injectors. For their setups you have to run a 5th injector which makes tuning harder. Plus more shops are familiar with other setups than they are the Perfectpower.

I would recommend that you choose who you trust to tune your car first, then get what that individual prefers. That way your tune will be better.

i can't seem to find any emprical comparison data that i can use myself. And with regard to Xcelleration, I also can't seem to find any parity information about them; it all seems negative, there's no personal accounts of satisfied customers.

Yet I was well taken care of by RandomTech, and both are coming highly recommended. Its frustrating tho, because when I start a thread trying to collect information, they dont go anywhere. I dunno if people are ignoring me because it a knee jerk reaction (OMG Xcelleration iz teh sucakge!!), or they just dont have anything else to say ...
