its all in the way you drive..if you abuse it then yes you will break it. there are people on the boards that are puttin down close to 400hp at the wheels on the stock tranny and they dont have any problems
AWD does not appreciate the honda speed shift. You have to be quick but gentle and never never never slam your gears. It is all in how you drive the car, there are a few high horsepowered WRXs with STOCK trannys (350-400+ whp). They will go through a clutch from time to time, but that is chump change compared to a fully tranny rebuild / swap. Just be gentle, and maybe lay off the 6k RPM clutch dumps at every stop light.
yep yep. it should feel like you are pushing the shifter through two plies of wet paper bag when you shift through a gate, then you are shifting fast and gentle
Shifting gears really hard by just throwing them in there really fast in an attempt to shift gears quickly.
Some retards try to speed shift. Like push the clutch in and get to the next gear as fast as possible and let the clutch back out. You have to remember that the transmission is feeling the force of all four wheels, not just two like some "Hondas" as mentioned. If you get a short shifter and some shifter bushings, you can shift cleaner and faster than stock.
