Hello all, This looks like one hell of a site, thought I was going to have to go to SLC for a Tune-up, NO Longer. Any advice for my 05 she has 25K and will need tires soon? Thanks Doug
welcome to the boards! there are lots of different tires to choose from. i'm sure others will chime in.
Welcome! We've got a couple members with Leg GTs and Forester XTs so you'll feel right at home. On the topic of tires, it's all in what you want out of a tire: longevity, grip, all-season readiness . . . pick one.
Welcome to the WRXatlanta community! What do you plan on doing with the tires? And more importantly, what is your tire budget?
I recently purchased Kumho Ecsta ASX's for use ono my "winter wheels" and have been extremely happy with them. Excellent tire wear rating for the amount of grip they provide and these things are rock solid in the rain. It didn't snow here this year, so I can't comment on the snow capabilities, but others review them positively for snow use....
No mods yet but finding TopSpeed is like being a kid in the Candy Store with at least 50 cents Every day use ie 0630 grand prix on 400 to 285 to buford hwy. Also have contacted Siegel Racing for possible one day course in AL. Budget is what's best for the $. Thanks, this is a great site. d Where did you get them, I've heard good things about them at other site also. Pray for Snow d
Excellente, you have contacted Scott about SRDEC! You will have a blast Many of us have completed multiple sessions at his school and highly recommend them. I just bought some pirelli pzero neros, I would not recommend them. You could check into Falken and some of the Kuhmos. I cannot remember which one Alex put on the rx8 (escta I think?), but they've been holding up nicely on and off track.
I bought mine at Discount tire (Discovery Mills)because I was in a hurry. Decent price mounted and balance with the liftime road hazard warranty, though I did find them cheaper online. I don't remember the site off the top of my head, but will post it up when I find it.
