I want to buy a set of rims mainly for handling purposes (not looks) i like the sleeper look. I've heard that 18"s scrub, don't want that, however, that is heresay. 17's are cheap check out www.wheelguyz.com there is a set of 17's wheels and tires, for 475$ tell me what you think. Keep in mind they may be ugly, but they are light, and cheap. Please respond

Well first off, anytime you are going to put bigger rims on your car, you want them to match if no more weight than your stockers. 18's are nice for looks and things like that. But have fun paying for tires every 15,000 miles. Know 17's on the other hand, you can probably find a nice pair thats around the same weight as your stockers. Yes tires would be cheaper with 17's then 18's.
This is just what I think. I have had 18's on my 92' Lexus es300, and 17's on my mustang. So I donno...

I have 18's also, never had any scrubbing, I have about 10000 miles on my tires and a Siegel Race Driving School and my tires are still good to go. I just need to rotate front to back.

I also have 18x7.5, I had a scrubbing problem but it had nothing to do with the wheels. As far as proformance i think the only issue would be the wieght of the wheel. The wheels I got are 1lb/in. Not bad, alot of cheap 17" wheels wieght more than that I say go with something lightwieght that has a look u like, diff. people like diff. looks.

This is what my wheels look like.(factory susp.)
