1st Thread!

I got to post the first thread bishes :fawk:


I hope that people in the Savannah, Ft Stewart, Hinesville, Statesboro, Pembroke area and any other town I've missed in this area will be able to get together before the get togethers in da ATL.

So far every one that I've been to has been the bomb and the people are cool.

That's right. You're the one with the beast aren't you? If you ever wanna caravan up to an event just PM me cause that'd be sweet. I seem to go up to Atlanta once a month lately and it's such a boring drive.

And yeah, next time there's an event like the Tech Auto Show, we can definitely caravan up there.

But that's exactly why I'm really happy about this Savannah area section. Next time maybe you can let me know about events you know of. :sx:

Will do, I'm not sure when there will be another one. But the guy who organizes all the meets lives less than a mile from me, he always stops by when there is one coming up, so I'll post it up here when I find out about a new one.

Sucks though because apparently Savannah has some law that you can't assemble after 10pm, so I know a guy who got arrested last Saturday not even doing anything but standing around talking in the HD parking lot. So IDK how the meets are going to go from now on.

There will be a meet in Statesboro soon enough (for all kinds of cars) if you'd be interested in doing something like that. I have to schedule it.

I got a text message from the guy today, he said there's an STi meet on Saturday, rain or shine. Just a head's up, I'll call him and get a time and post it up when I know more

 

good stuff... i probably wont be able to make any long distance meets until the fall, but hopefully this should attract some interest

 

A meet of basically any kind would be cool IMO. That does really suck about that 10:00 law. One thing I did want to mention, although I'm not sure you would be able to make it, is that on Thursday evenings a bunch of us get together in the parking lot of Big Lots by Checkers in Hinesville. There are about as many Evo drivers as there are Scoobys and there's a mixture of other sport compacts that filter in too. Don't confuse us with a club that calls themselves Nokturnal though. Although there are some cool folks and cool cars in that club the majority of what I've seen there consisted of flat black painted cars, TV screens in strange places, ugly body kits and conversions and just basic drama. Not to be rude or anything.....

If you, or anyone really, can come out just look for the blue WRX with Rotas in the middle of the parking lot and that's probably me!

 

Definitely. Someone just told me that there is a Savannah section on NASIOC although I can't confirm that just yet. I'm gonna go look. :ddirty:

Copycats? I don't get it. Besides I only go on NASIOC to look for information. I'm literally sick of all the BS that goes on there... right now I can't even post or PM or anything for absolutely no apparent reason for whatsoever.

 

Yeah, I'll try to make it out to Hinesville sometime, gotta figure out how to get there. What time do people usually meet up?

I guess it is a little ways from Statesboro. I would take the Ft Stewart and Pembroke exit (go right) to the back gate at Ft Stewart. You can bypass Stewart by taking a left before that gate and then taking a right about a mile down just past the Ft Stewart housing area. I'd keep going down that road, through one MP checkpoint and take a right on 196 which would dump right into Hinesville. That Big Lots is on the right past Checkers... and I know those aren't the best directions, but they'll get you close.

I'll PM you my number in case you need more directions.

 

Sorry I'm just hearing about this subforum so late, i'm the guy who is trying to get the savannah area club going. Our Boosted Suby club as i call it. Anyways, i've talked to the other guy posting in here and he let me know about it. I see Erica is writing it up also. We had a meet tonite and I informed the members about getting a caravan together for the next WRXAtlanta event tha takes place. So hopefully we should be able to make it up there. We only have about 30 members so far, all subys, but 40-50 should be easily attainable due to the fact that more and more keep showing up on Ft. Stewart. Keep me posted and I'll make sure that we can organize a trip to the ATL. Thanks, David

 

That would be awesome David. If we could represent the Savannah area in a big way. The events I've been to so far seem to have area based groups and stuff so to roll in big would be sweet.

I'll probably PM you about events that I think have potential.

I'm definitely gonna have to try to make it out to that since I'm coming up for the weekend. I guess that means I'll have to buy something to install though.

Maybe a Whiteline sway bar for the front end.
